The 8 speed is impressive. Doing over 90 just cruising at 1500 rpm or whatever it was. Amazing. I thought my 6 speed CTS was inpressive

Yea, as quickly as it got to 120 it could definitely go faster. Idk why they don't have closer gear ratios in the V6 models though. You have 8 gears yet 3rd gear runs to almost 95mph and in 8th at 70mph I'm usually only at about 1,400 RPM
@@JoshSTEELERS I guess she could run faster top speed as when reaching the limit the revs are not on the max available engine power... The ratios of the 8 gears are probably a compromise (and not bad one in fact) between power usability and fuel economy. The 8th gear is really a tall overdrive for good cruising mileage and the not so slow downshifts do help acceleration when needed. For me, V6 Chally GT is still a great cruiser to drive, with quite enough power for normal use:-)
@@martinstyblo6355 Yea, they definitely had to stretch the gears out to reach 31mpg highway on the V6 chargers. If you look up a 2008 Ford fusion 6 speed 0-60 they hit 3rd gear before 60mph yet 3rd gear on the 8 speed charger runs to 95mph. I wish they would put a shorter final drive on V6 models because it would definitely help with acceleration... Idk about you but unless I'm on flat ground I rarely stay in 8th gear unless I switch to manual mode.

Until you drive a v8… 5.7 and 3.6 are neck and neck up until top end speed honestly but other than that total different feeling with them extra 2 cylinders
@@Keonte-tq6be Agreed, I work for enterprise so I regularly drive 5.7 and 3.6 Chargers. The difference in torque is very noticeable, the 3.6s are still quick enough for the average person though.

It's just so satisfying watching this kind of video with earphone, the V6 is fast for it size but sadly the speed was limited to 192 km/h. Bet it can go up to 250 km/h, what a nice saloon car 👍
I have the 5.7 and from 200-250 it is so slow, 250 is the ende for it. I dont think the 3.6 could wenn Till there

You have to steer so much more when you don’t have the steering wheel on sport mode, I put it on since day one and it’s a super smooth drive and you have better control

Looking good and this engine is more than enough Rims are a bit too small for this car in my opinion but i guess its to preserve comfort ride
235/55/18 are minium, they are still comfortable but still grippy, I've had the OG 215/65/17 on the magnum I swapped to 2nd gen charger wheel with oem tire the Michelin pilot hx mxm 4 they are really good at least on the 2014 ones, getting the front RT brake is a must at those speeds, going from 320mm to 345mm rotor and single piston to dual but they clear 18"+ wheel. I agree with you the 3.6l with the 8speed is a great combo with plenty of power with the 5 speed is like being in 2005 when they came with it, slow to shift, not efficent etc... anyway you still ear V8 guy "should have bought the v8" Personnaly i lilke the V6 getting 6.8l/100km it's really good for 1800kg car 1300rpm at 100km/h is like driving at idle

Meinst du den Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung? Das der mehr als 200 kmh fahren kann? Mein privat auto ist ein chrysler 300 3.6 v6, hat gleiche motor wie der charger. Ist bei 242 kmh abgeregelt aber nächste woche wird es vmax begrenzung aufgehoben und sollte 255-260 möglich. Ist echt tolles auto und motor & getriebe ist sehr zuverlässig. My 2013 sxt 8 speed is unlocked (diablosport). I got it up to 220 kmh.
You can up to 242 kmh no problem, i had Chrysler 300c 3.6 and 8 speed and hit 242 kmh. You can check chrysler pov video in our channel
I have 2014 blacktop sxt for some reason it makes 300 instead of 292

My 2018 GT governs at 130mph but got 132mph. Just got it removed last night curious to see what’ll hit now.
Should hit 155 mph as many topspeed test experience, had european spec chrysler 300c with 3.6 (same engine like charger) and hit 150 mph limiter (youtube video proof topspeed pov here in our youtube channel) I think it will hit 155 mph without Gouvernor

@@sic22l it depends on the power and torque engine, maybe you compared it with small engines, and you have to know each car has different gear ratios

@@sic22l at 192km/H he would be about 2600 rpm, probably it has enought power to maintain doing manual mode in 8th, or ~3200 in 7th. btw the diff is 2.62 or 2.65 depend on the year some had 3.05 if AWD or special package

It is defenetly limited. My old Chrysler can make 220 kmh, with the previous engine and only 5-speed tranny. So this Charger could probably do 250 kmh. But american cars are not build for high speeds, they are made for cruising, so its fine.

Hmm.. for starters this is not a SXT it's the SE standard edition. The SXT & GT come with a few extra options with TC and full TC control shut down also this model not having the paddle shift is a dead give away.
I have the sxt model and doesn’t have pádel shifts

lol are you from poland? i always heard many people use LPG there, in germany is rare and swiss so rare. But with Dodge Charger and 160 kmh cruise control you can get 9.5 liter thats ok. normal driving like 120-140 kmh you will get around 7 liter, as RWD version, with AWD consume more

Sorry, but this is not a real Top Speed video of this model. If your car has a speed limiter, you can't do a top speed test. When I bought my v6 and I checked top speed it was going 241 Km/h (150 MPH). After I upgraded it with a turbo, it runs over 257 Km/h (160MPH) at 0.5 bar. This is real information of this model. If you want to get rid of a speed limiter, just visit a tuner and have it modified.

I had dodge charger rt Canada version and 235 kmh limiter, i saw USA version has 205 kmh limiter, dont worry you can buy dodge charger and go to tuner shop for some hundred dollar and unlock limiter, sure it can do over 250 kmh

Diese charger ist limitiert. Fast alle charger und challenger bis r/t version sind limitiert bei serienzustand. Ab srt oder scatpack ist offen. Hatte 2013 charger rt (canada model) und war bei 235 kmh limitiert. In USA ist bei ca. 205 kmh

Actually those are both wrong because cars advertise power from the crank and you lose 15% power by the time it hits the wheels so what you're really getting is 259 whp (using 305).

Because in US all normal cars, even vw, bmw, mercedes are limited at 190-215 kmh. Called governor speed limit. Maybe because of police pursuit.
