Long-eared Owl found in our back yard near the Missouri River. Birders in our area know how secretive and difficult to find these owls can be. After much time unsuccessfully searching afar at some known roosting locations, I stumbled upon one in our backyard! Finally was I able to capture some photos and videos to share with you.
Incredible that you got lucky enough to have one show up in your yard! I Found a pair at a local recreational area last week, first time I've gotten to photograph them.
