Can WORLD’S BIGGEST SOLAR LENS melt an iPhone, a coin or burn a hole in a CAR TIRE?
FRESNEL LENS can melt rocks, metal, EVERYTHING! 1000 degrees of heat is enough to make obsidian from rock!
We tested it in this experiment, let’s test the power of the sun!

WHAT IS FRESNEL LENS?
Fresnel lens is a type of composite compact lens developed by the French physicist Augustin-Jean Fresnel (1788-1827) for use in lighthouses. It has been called "the invention that saved a million ships.
Fresnel lens, succession of concentric rings, each consisting of an element of a simple lens, assembled in proper relationship on a flat surface to provide a short focal length. The Fresnel lens is used particularly in lighthouses and searchlights to concentrate the light into a relatively narrow beam.

  • You know I was thinking about our water shortage problems and was thinking about desalination plants to produce more fresh water problem is it takes a lot of energy to heat up the water to boiling point so I was wondering is this lens able to make a pot of water boil by putting the tip of the light pyramid into the water.
