    • Regarding the data for hypersonics, I think you're forgetting that Iran is a space-capable nation. They have orbital capabilities already, so wouldn't have a problem collecting that kind of data. A hypersonic glide vehicle is a very different thing than a hypersonic cruise missile -- ballistic trajectories are unpowered and similar to an atmospheric reentry.

  • I think Israel and the US didn't know that 4 other nations would be attacking Israel. They shot short range missiles, and sent drone as a diversion to ensure that the ballistic missiles would hit their targets. If Israel does not stand down, it will eventually escalate to a nuclear war. Notice i said war and not conflict. When Israel attacked Iran's embassy, that was a declaration of war. So all of this western criticism of Iran is groundless.

    @martinzelaya2927@martinzelaya2927Ай бұрын

  • An Israeli general has said that defending against Iran's attack has cost Israel $1.3 billion worth of interceptor missiles, and that's without their allies costs and the cost of the damage caused by missiles that got through. Planes boats. Spies and ships. None of them accused Israel. Syria, Iraq, Iran all participated in attacking israel. Any one of which could have raised the FALSE FLAG to do that. I did not see them do it. I simply know media spins lies. Haters of Israel. Pro whatever terrorists are acting up this week. Use you brain. Be original. Ask a question. Why would Israel destroy an embassy? How could they do do and not be seen? Which NATO country that allowed international court to judge Israel, would later hide evidence of their guilt? It makes no sense. Muslims want Jews dead. NATO likes war. Military Industry Complex likes money. WEF likes depopulation and population reduction. Any of those makes more sense and media would not run that story. You have a brain. You are capable of deciding what you might like to eat. You can think. So why believe the false propaganda?

  • I was asked by Sputnik News to record a video. So here it is. My key take away, if you don’t have time to watch, is that today’s strike was a symbolic warning. Iran only used a minuscule portion of its capabilities. Iran’s UN Ambassador issued a statement that stated today’s action was in response to the attack two weeks ago in Damascus on Iran’s Embassy Annex. If Israel “takes its medicine” and does not respond then Iran plans no further action. However, If Israel decides to attack Iranian interests again, especially inside Iran, the IRGC is prepared to significantly increase the scale of the next attack. Here is the bottomline - Iran can fire an enormous number of drones, rockets and missiles that will overwhelm Israel’s air defense system. Today was just a warning. We’ll find out if Israel paid attention. - Sonar21

    @stlouisix1@stlouisix1Ай бұрын
    • Indeed. The biggest takeaway is that Israel has lost deterrence against Iran. It’s either accepting that, or war. Other symbolic actions by Iran included the ability to coordinate a regional attack on Israel with allies and proxies, ability to shut down the strait of Hormuz, and the ability to overwhelm the dome, despite help to Israel.

The whole purpose of this theatre was for Iran to demonstrate its wealth and capability, and moral highground by organizing the event so that nobody would really get hurt. Iran could certainly do damage if they wanted to, but they dont want to escalate and start a greater war. At the same time, they were not able to do nothing and look weak to all of their neighbors in the region. So they told US and Israelis exactly where and when the drones would be flying thru, so that they could shoot them down. The Iranians wanted to showcase their technology, and they also showed off a few ballistic missles, so that Israel and US stop treating them like a pushover. I think it was quite effective. Already Israelis are whining, and US is saying they definitely dont want to get involved. Exacerbating the cleavage between them, as the iranians desired.

This is a strategic alliance, as distinct from the trade & cultural alliance of BRICS of which it is also a member. • Just a point to the costs of the weapons used. One has to remember that Iran did NOT buy it's missiles from abroad, particularly not from the most expensive source; the USA. It builds its own weapons, which means they are paid for with Iranian Rials, which the Iranian government can print as it wants...; this makes its ability to produce weapons equal to that of the US, or Russia or China. Almost all other countries in the world, including Israel and France / UK / NATOstan countries, have to BUY their weapons, predominantly from the US for US dollars! So you cannot really compare costs as directly as Alexander has done in this video. Of course, Israel gets a lot of its weapons for free from the US taxpayer, and even those that it actually buys are paid for with free cash from the US taxpayer (just like Ukraine), so it hasn't really spent a billion dollars either. But the US has.

This phrase generally means that doing something that lets the two side to the conflict de-escalate, ie: declare victory and 'climb down' the escalatory ladder. This is what the Iranian attack was, huge spectacle, but not substantive, hence letting Israel climb back down if they want, but also give them the option to keep escalating. If they keep escalating by kicking away the ladder down, then the war really begins.

    • Israel's AD is more than just the Patriot System. Its a layer of different anti-missile systems: Drones can be shot down by Fighter aircraft. The Arrow: This system developed with the U.S. is designed to intercept long-range missiles, including the types of ballistic missiles Iran said it launched on Saturday. The Arrow, which operates outside the atmosphere, has been used in the current war to intercept long-range missiles launched by Houthi militants in Yemen. (cont. below) David’s Sling: Also developed with the U.S., the David’s Sling is meant to intercept medium-range missiles, such as those possessed by Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iron Dome: This system, developed by Israel with U.S. backing, specializes in shooting down short-range rockets. It has intercepted thousands of rockets since it was activated early last decade - including thousands of interceptions during the current war against Hamas and Hezbollah. Israel says it has a success rate of over 90%. Iron Beam: Israel is developing a new system to intercept incoming threats with laser technology. Israel has said this system will be a game changer because it is much cheaper to operate than existing systems. However, it is not yet operational.

    • @@JosephBisio Seriously? How ignorant you are? Missiles for all their systems are produced in USA. And at very low rate. They cant boost their production almost at all. If you have issue understanding basic stuff Just look at what Russia dud in Ukraine. Send massive number of drones that Will saturate defense and waste precious missiles on them . And Irane has insane stockpile of these. Once AD is down Israel wont stand a chance against way weaker foes like Hezbolah and Houtis. P.S. Do reality check as you are fed to much by MSM propaganda.

    • @@JosephBisio You are pushing another msm fake propaganda here ignoring easy to check facts. First of all USA has missile production that Will barely replenish what was wasted in this event in 1 year. Second - stocks are low as Ukraone and previous hezbolah attacks used thousands of ad missiles. Third thing is that Iran said in advance what it Will use and what it Will target. And they hitted targets. They not even used best of what they have in stocks and still broke through combined AD of Israel USA Jordan UK and France. They used drones to swarm the sky and force AD to show radars and launchers before missiles came in. Of 7 missiles 2 were shot ot malfunctioned. 5 got through. If They wanted to hit for real Israel it would be out of nowhere and with much more force.

  • Clearly just a warning, The Israelis overstepped when they attacked the Irainian embassy. The Irainians are simply saying that there will be consequences if Israel keep doing those things. So, will Israel continue on their path of destruction? They might not, if they can't get the US on board. The Irainian drones are so slow that they can easily be shot down by missiles. It's a trade off cheap drones for expensive missiles. Not much effect from a short strike like this. But it would deplete the Israeli air defence if they kept going. The US might realize that they don't have the production capacity to support Israel with an air defence.

  • Alexander, remember the US Destroyer ships that got hit by freighters in the South China Sea a few years ago? The recent collision of the Francis Scott Key bridge on the US East Cost very well could have been another example of a cyber attack. I would put China as the number one source of these attacks and if China has been helping Iran with its ballistic missile programs, I would not be surprised that Iran has significant anti-ship capability. Also, anti-ship technology has been used to great effect against Russia in the Black Sea by Ukraine. Looks like the USA's investment in a powerful Navy has been significantly depreciated by recent advances in technology that is cheap and available on the global market. Technology can change the balance of forces silently behind the scenes and only make its presence felt and known suddenly when it is deployed successfully on an actual battlefield. We can go back to the fall of Constantinople in the 1450's where cannons made the difference as an example of how technology changes the outcomes on the battlefield.

    • "The recent collision of the Francis Scott Key bridge on the US East Cost very well could have been another example of a cyber attack." Not likely, the ship had some maintenance done in its engine room while it was in Baltimore port, probably an error occurred in that work during its layover and load/unload in that port. And the Captain of the ship was not Ukrainian. The crew was all Indian.

The missiles hit the aircraft, an Airbus A300, while it was flying its usual route over Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf, shortly after the flight departed its stopover location, Bandar Abbas International Airport. All 290 people on board were killed
