Take a look back at the last hundred years of fashion for teenage girls. Where did the term "teenage" come from in the 1940s? When did teen girls begin to wear jeans? From the rolled down stockings of 1920s teen flappers to the "teen dream" crop tops from the 1990s film Jawbreaker, here is how teen girl's style has transformed over the last century.

The fact that every black girl had straightened hair is beyond me
Wasn't it popular?
weoqwe nope that’s what people are made to think, black girls and women straightened their hair because they were told their Afros weren’t ‘proper’ or that straight hair is the actual beauty standard
@@cydollasign1445 oh srry I just know that a lot of black girls straighten their hair. I heard that straightening damages their hair so it's kinda sad.
I am a black girl and it was actually a trend/popular to straighten your hair early 2000s in America. Everyone I know did.
Sofia R well I’m black too but I didn’t see it as a trend and I still don’t but everyone has different opinions I guess

It’s right she said 2010
Or he sorry😕
I just edited it 😳
I love how EVERYONE is talking about Vsco and NOBODY is noticing how much it changed. My great baba is 96-and still going strong- and was born in 1924. Imagine seeing what she has seen in her lifetime, WW2, the fashion, political drama, the people, new inventions. It’s all so crazy to me😮🤍 And who knows! Maybe Vsco wasn’t very popular until 2018ish. (I’m such an uncultured child that I have NO IDEA when Vsco became a trend)
I feel you. I feel totally outside this world! But that's not necessarily a bad thing... ;)
@Jada Cross ehh it was around until really early 2020 in my school but idk about normal society.
yeah at my school july 2019-january/february 2020
Exactly!!!
Vsco was more 2019

1930 was my favorite, it looks very elegant and cute😊.
