I was also shocked af when I found it out , growing up poor people made fun of everything down to your lunches if you didn’t have name brand. So finding out it was the same, and all along the bullies were bullying me over nothing essentially, was crazy to me lol.

My mom is a door dasher and sometimes she'll get foods from different business yet she had to retrieve them from fast food places. Like TGI Fridays for example, she would get a order for some weird sounding name and just had to go to TGI Fridays. Idk if it's to get a little more money or to trick people into thinking it's a small business but either way they're the pain in the butt for the workers and delivery service workers.

And the reason some brands are higher quality is because they get the good whole leaves and the cheaper companies get the damaged leaves. If you want to know if your tea is “good” is to see if there’s any specs of tea leaves in the bottom of your cup at the end of brewing. If there’s specs it means it’s “bad”

For example, Ray Ban is an extremely popular brand that people come in looking for. However, unless it says that it is made in Italy, it is a knockoff. We have like two pairs that day they’re made in Italy and others from China, Taiwan, etc. next time you go to a place that sells glasses, look at where it was made! Authentic glasses will all be made in one place. If you have Ray Bans that are made in Italy, congrats, but they hardly sell those now!

  • This is so crazy 🤯 It always felt like something was suspicious. That reasoning though for horrible cell service in grocery stores is because of the building structure. I learned this when working for a cell company. The material most stores are built with, it’s harder for the cell towers to reach your phone and connect. 34:58

    • Yeah! Because they want your phone to stop working while inside. When I’m anywhere else that doesn’t happen. It’s for a reason.

    • But why does my phone work just fine in the stores in the same plaza, literally connected?

  • I can actually agree with this. I used to worked at a factory that makes organic fruit bars (that’s it) we sell them at Costco, target & TJ partnered with our company (look up Apple+Stawberry fruit bars). And of course our company has our own wrapper for our products and TJ has their own wrapper with OUR product. Yet you won’t see our Company name anywhere on the TJ wrapper. Same ingredients same procedure just different wrapper / company….

  • I do find that sometimes, not all the time, that the generic brand isn’t the same quality as the name brand. When it comes to food, everything is the same, but when it comes to household items, like bin bags or clingfilm or tinfoil, I do find the name brand just works better
