Worst mistake Food Network ever made was letting this woman go. She’s the best.
Clearly not if the network is still going without her
Well she’s racist so
Geeky Baby she’s an old person from the south so shut the fuck up
We love you. And your recipes.you are so down to earth.
She shouldn't have been so comfy using the slur she did.
Mother's peach cobbler: 2 parts peaches and 1 part apricots. She never told anyone. People would say how good and different the cobbler tasted. It WAS the best.
Thank you George, your mom's cobbler sounds very good, unique.
Sounds yummy
True story. I’m a grown woman, and I never tasted apricot before
@@preciousbabygirl8711Me either & I'm 50.
My mother taught me to make cobbler. She used to talk about “cup, cup, cup” for her recipe. A cup of flour, cup sugar, cup of milk and a stick of butter. Thank you Paula for bringing back wonderful memories of time with my mother❤️
Cindy Stutts, I am so sick of the big seeds in the blackberries these days. My aunt and uncle had blackberries near their property and they were plentiful and weren't full of big seeds that you couldn't chew and that stuck in between your teeth. It's about genetic modification of our food. I am going to stick with blueberries, pitted cherries, strawberries and pumpkin pie filling for my pies and cobblers. I want to try your mom's recipe very soon, when I run out of leftover peach cobbler. Stay well.
That's exactly what my mother taught me when I was 8 years old. Easy to remember and everyone loves it.
Self-rising flour?
@@tahoe7779 Yes, it's easier and less ingredients.
My gramma had that same recipe! Cup'a this and that. We never used self rising flour either.
Hi Paula, Thank you soooo much for being on KZhead! The past 14 years I have learned a great deal from you. I'm from Nevada, but my mom and my aunt (both have passed away) cooked similar to the way to you do, I was taught early on to cook and to bake. For 40 years I have baked breads and biscuits (I do prefer your biscuit recipe over my family's recipe), my son had lived in the south for a bit, at the time he thought there would be a big difference in the way he grew up and the southern way, he called me and said "Mom! are you sure you weren't from the south? because you raised me southern style." It made my heart happy. During this time of our Nation's crisis, home cooking brings such comfort to those around us. Thank you for being an encouragement and a reminder to continue making "best dishes." I love this Cobbler Recipe!
I just love Paula's KZhead shows. So natural. It's like we came over from next door to watch her cook. "Wait a minute....I have let the dog in" What a treat.
Can I make this the night before and what are the reheating instructions? I’ve made this several times before and it is a favorite! Just want to get a jump ahead for Thanksgiving. Thank you Paula🧡
MeToo!
@@loriramirez7493 I don’t think so because once you activate that self rising flour, you want that batter in the oven. You can prep the peaches.
Thank you @pistodog

I have never been so proud of Paula when I saw she is like the rest of us. She used great value peaches. Bless you sweet lady.
nancy province I was hoping I didn’t have to go looking for fresh peaches right now. Whoop! Whoop!😂😂😂
LOL right
Lol 😂
partlycloudy90 I went back and looked at that you are so right.
I live in Arizona, ain’t no damn peach trees here! Lol
I love how her prepping table is all over the place and she’s also all over the place and giggling. Reminds me of me when I bake 😂
I love how she says “boil” like “ball” ugh I love her too much 💗
One of my favorite things in the entire world is peach pie. Every year for many years, my wife would make a peach pie for my birthday. But she died two years ago, and I'm no good a making pies (unfortunately). But last year, I got a bunch or fresh peaches and I knew I couldn't eat all of them before they went bad. So what to do with all those peaches? Well, I have one of your cookbooks, and the recipe for peach cobbler is just about what was on your show today. So I tried making a peach cobbler for my birthday, using the fresh peaches and your recipe. I have to tell you that it came out perfectly. It didn't even run over the edge of the pan, and it was one of the best things I had all last year. Your recipe is fantastic.
Peach pie is life! 🤗😋
W H Giesecke awww ‘. Sorry for your loss. I’m a widower also. 3 years for me. I miss my husbands scrambled eggs. Day by day!
W.H. Giesecke, what a lovely memory about your wife. I'm glad the recipe came out good for you. My husband's Mother was the Baker in our family. We talk about that for our birthday she would ask what cake we wanted for her to bake. She has been gone 26 years and we still talk about her cakes. Happy Easter to everyone !!!
Bless your heart for making the cobbler! Proud of you!
Good for you your wife would be so proud you learnt how to cook what she loved cooking for you and you're keeping her tradition going even though you love the peach cobbler.. 😉
I miss your show Miss Paula, I love that you’re doing this for us. God bless you
Me too. My best to you and your family!🙂
Paula Deen I miss your shows too. Stay well and safe . Love ya
Me too. I wish you had another show because I miss you so much.
I miss her show too. She was my favorite on The Food Network.
I miss seeing you cook! I think it’s time you had your own show again!
I love my Paula!! She was 1 of the first chef's I fell in love with when food network was pure and poppin and she still got it!

Pure and proper???? OMG!
I’ll make this peach cobbler for my grandkids as soon as this stay at home thing is over. Love y’all bunches from deep in the heart of Texas.
Hello! I wanna make this but if I use can peaches do I have to sweeten them like she did on the stove with her frozen peaches
I don't know who Teresa is, but she obviously underestimates Paula's fans, we obviously know there is someone else in the kitchen and Paula maybe a crazy fun lady, but not crazy. Love you Paula ❤️
Exactly! Her Fans knows shes talking to someone
That's right!!!!
I've never watched Paula, and while she seems "there" enough, I think Theresa has her back.
I agree she needs to just sit down and be quite...
Um, quite obvious she's talking to people in the room. At the beginning of the video she took a piece of cobbler over to her Aunt. And duh we know someone is recording the video🙄 be quiet Theresa.
Miss Paula, you're spoiling us, and now we NEVER want you to go away again! :)
I love that she's cooking those peaches in a Revere ware pan. No fancy pans for Paula. Those pans are great i have my grandmas that are 40+ years old
My grandma has the same pots
I love my old Revere ware too! I was just telling my husband yesterday that, “They don’t make cookware like they used to.” All the best to y’all!
@@bethbosheers8096 We used to have Revereware. Too bad they don't make it anymore. It was my favorite, besides my mother's heavy aluminum pots and pans from many years ago. I hate that they stopped making all those good pots and pans! btw I used to use copper cleaner every time I washed the Revereware. It's so pretty to see clean, bright copper.
@@britt7223 Hi there! I know what you mean. ❤️😊I’m looking on line at this tine, to find me some more Revereware! Mine is 16 years old, and most of it is still doing great. I miss my mother everyday, and having Ms. Paula back in all our lives, reminds me of what a spunky, lil’, fun, great cook, and true southern belle, my precious Mama Jane, always was. 😌❤️All the best to you and yours! ❤️🙏🏼😎🇺🇸

MES I couldn’t agree more!!!
MES Amen Sister! I sure have missed her.
To bad she can't respect other races AND be a great loveable chef.😎
@@donnabragg8989 Donna I absolutely understand why you have this opinion. It was disrespectful, shameful and just not right. It is my understanding these statements were made many, many years ago and I think poking fun at ppl because of their ethnicity, sadly it's was a free for all .>>>Cannot count how many times I was approached with ....There was a (Eyetalian), Italian, a Pollock etc... Which in their mind was just a knee slapping whoopie grand time! Crazier still was how they were insulted if you didn't find it funny or laugh!! So I understand perfectly but if these statements were said years ago it really was a (sadly) par for the course and common place. Either way, I am sorry those things were said and ultimately hurt you. 56
@@donnabragg8989 Dear Donna, and MES too, please, whatever Paula said or didn't say, we are all in a sense product of our times. In my eyes there is not a racist fiber in this lady. Person imperfect? Maybe. Crime so severe unpardonable? Not quite. Many of us raised in the South are actually very respectable and respectful when comes to race. So, can you find it in your heart to forgive and let go? Can she, you, MES and I and our whole nation move on knowing we are not perfect but, BUT we evolve and elevate our common humanity because, if nothing else, we are Americans. Love you Donna, Mes, Paula y'all from SF.
I just love Paula. I also appreciate her use of every day ingredients!
I started watching the "quarantine cooking" about a week ago. I'm obsessed!! I feel like I'm just hanging out with Paula, making cobbler! 🥰❤
I'm obsessed, too, and I'm a guy who hates to cook. Paula reminds me of my Georgia relatives who I don't get to see much anymore.
Paula's video is sooo professional maybe this is the road to New beginnings for her just keep making KZhead videos Paula you never know.....
Let's hope not.

Ugh I miss you! Seriously after school, I would go to see my grandma and you’d be on every day!! I just loved watching. Looks yummy❤️
Love how it’s so REAL like you are really sitting in her kitchen. No fancy script ! Love it❤️!

I'm southern lady and I love this lady and her cooking
I haven’t had a delicious peach cobbler since my mother passed away and this recipe is delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. The aroma in my home remind me of my mother. Thank you again.💕❤️
Me too. 😭 I haven’t had the courage to even look up a recipe. My sister took her recipe box, & forgot what she did with it. I always knew I would come to Paula first. She was the first cooking show I watched. Martha Stewart drove me nuts.
My grandma said it's okay to talk to yourself as long as you don't answer, lol. I woke up to this, and it made things just a little bit better. You're fixing all my favorite comfort foods! Anything you fix will be fine with me. Thank you for doing this for us. Stay safe!
Teresa needs to chill. Let Paula do her thing.
right I was like "shhhhhhhhhh"
Exactly.
Yes...Paula really doesn't need a sidekick. A question from Teresa occasionally would be ok but...good grief....get on with the recipe. I am trying to make it and watch at the same time. Don't confuse me because you want your face in camera.
She is annoying
Agree. Shush.
I'm a young black lady and I love Paula.I made this and it was AWESOME
So happy to see Aunt Peggy again sending love and best wishes to yall!
My grandma used to say that when measuring baking SODA, always level the measure and make sure you don't use too much. But when measuring baking POWDER, always heap it up in the spoon! She was known as the best cook in her town and she whispered that to me. She said it always makes your baked goods nice and light! She then told me it was her secret. I mentioned it to my mom many years later and she was really insulted that her dear mother in law had never told her that. I told her that her mistake was in just being a daughter in law. I was a granddaughter and therefore went to the top of the class! (Grandma was a teacher.)
Thanks for sharing your Grandmother's secret.
Exactly grand daughters do go to the top of the class
Cute story! Thanks for sharing her secret🤭i feel powerful now lol
Because you were Grand grand babies always out rank except for great grands because well their Great, goes in both directions Aunties are special but like Aunt Peggy she's Great Great so she's super special auntie
My grandma passed away in December of 2018 and hearing your voice reminds me of her so much. A sense of calm just washes over me and it brings me peace listening to your video. I'm so glad you're back Paula. I missed you!
I have made peach cobbler every way under the sun in order to find the recipe my husband use to enjoy from his grandma. When he was four years old, his momma passed away in a car accident and so he had to go live with the relatives until his father was able to provide the nurturing and time for a youngster. During that time, his grandma made the best food as he could remember having. Since that time, he can not remember his mother, (perhaps because of the trauma of losing her so young) but he CAN remember this particular peach cobbler. Ms Paula, I finally found it!!! It is what you call Lady and Son's Peach Cobbler!!! He just about cried when he tasted it that it scared me at the time. It represents everything a mother should be when served on the warm side with a smidgen of half and half over the top. I used the canned peaches, but see that I need to try the frozen peaches, too. While he still can't remember her, he does remember the emptiness was filled with peach cobbler that week that she was gone, but not just any peach cobbler: it has to be the cobbler that tastes like 'comfort' and love.
Hi Paula,...I just made the peach cobbler. Instead of using milk I used oat milk adding a bit more than a cup to make a pancake like consistent. It was fantastic! Thank you for your recipe. You really are a " national treasure"
I miss Paula Dean. Love all her recipes. God bless everyone.
I miss watching you on TV. These KZhead cooking shows are GREAT! 😁 Thank you for posting these.
Thank you Paula! I made this recipe 12 years ago with west slope Colorado peaches and it was my family's favorite. We have moved twice since then. I made it yesterday with Georgia peaches; only this time three of my four family members are gluten free. It turned out great with the gluten free flour blend I used! Just the way it did 12 years ago with regular wheat flour!! Both states have amazing peaches!
My mom and I will be trying this awesome recipe soon! You are definitely keeping us happy during this time, Paula! Much love!
So glad I found Paula, have missed her shows and family.

Ya...but this is just as good! Better. She can just be herself.
Everyone can make a mistake, even people that are really great. I'm not sure how fair it is for a group to be very hard on someone, for one mistake, instead of being forgiving or compassionate or understanding, and moving on. What a great video, who wouldn't love it

Hey Paula, I am not sure if you read these messages but I wanted you to know my wife and I absolutely enjoy watching your KZhead quarantine show. You make us feel like we are sitting in your kitchen with you. We especially like hearing you yell at the dogs to “hush up” or walk away and let them in. I have family in the south and you make me feel that I am with them when I watch you. We love you very much!
