At this point, it's not like the average person needs their phones to do all that much...and the degree to which they do, pretty much all smartphones on the market have the same basic functionality. Not everyone's looking for spectacular; some people just want something familiar and clean and nice to them. Retro designs being attractive and preferred is nothing new

iPhone 5s, in my opinion, was hands down the best iPhone that Apple has designed....until now. The mini is amazing. Packs a punch by having everything great about iPhone 12 but all in the perfect size of the 5s. You should definitely go with the mini if you are sticking with iPhone

I got an iPhone 12 Mini recently this year, the previous one I had was an iPhone SE Generation 1, and I tried to get an iPhone SE Generation 2 and they didn’t have any in stock, but they did offer something similar to it which is the iPhone 12 Mini… and after about two months or so using it, I’m starting to love the camera with it!
It’s all started from how natural and good does it feel when you hold it in your hand. Well iPhone 12mini makes me feel that again.

The 4 was such a small phone too. I remember when they went to the 5, it was such a leap for apple, even though android phones were way bigger. I currently have the 12 pro and I also have the original SE for work and my goodness, what a tiny phone compared to what’s out today. The entire phone is smaller than the screen of the 12 pro itself.

I was an XS max owner and it felt so big and bulkier with the charging case. So I upgraded to the regular 12 and I fell in love with iPhones again 😊

Just picked up the 12 Pro Max 256gb in pacific blue, otterbox symmetry case with a Zagg Invisible Shield Glass Elite Visionguard+ screen protector. Absolutely loving it so far, upgraded from an iPhone XS Max.
I’ve had the mini for 6 days now, things to note: Battery isn’t as bad as everyone says. It’s bloody small. It’s super light and grippy. It’s very strong, weirdly. It’s a fingerprint magnet. The keyboard is small and you’ll have to get used to it if you had a bigger phone previously. Cameras are the best I’ve seen bar the pixel 5, they are also better than the 11 pro max. No joke.
If they made a mini pro I would’ve bought that.

If you're a fan of smaller form factors and you're thinking about the 12 mini just go for it. I upgraded from an 8, tried an 11 for a week and couldn't get used to constantly having to use two hands, so I went with the 12 mini and instantly loved it. I like being able to hit every button on the screen with one hand. The colors look even better in person. The oled screen is incredible, especially compared to the 11. The cameras are next level amazing.

I’ve been using my new 12 mini for almost a week now. I used to have a 7 plus which served me well for a bit but geez three years of holding that giant body and my hands have gotten stiff. I’m of the opinion that pop sockets are a solution to a problem we never should have had from the start. You nail that confidence aspect about the mini; I found myself flipping it around in my hand like a butterfly knife the other day and had to stop myself to be like “woah what the heck am I doing” but...I keep doing that? Even though I know it’s really risky. I just feel so powerful holding this tiny beast of a phone and it’s just so lovely. I’ll also mention I haven’t had much of a problem with battery life; battery is way better than an iPhone 7 Plus that’s been charged for three years, I can tell it has limits though. But generally it only costs me 10% battery on my hour long trip to work every day compared to the 50% battery lost on my 7 plus. Last thing I’ll mention is that notch; this is gonna sound weird but despite this being my first iPhone with a notch, I don’t find myself noticing it all that much. It might actually be that because the notch takes up more of the top of the screen, I end up noticing it...less? The cutouts for the time and control center being smaller mean they are less noticeable as well which makes the top of the screen just look like one thick bezel. Does it get that edge-to-edge look that people crave? Eh...maybe not 100% so but I’ll take 3/4 edges over having a chin with a home button at this point.
How about the screen size? Aren't you missing the 7's huge screen when you're wathing a video?
honestly, the screen’s only shift for me has been relearning key spacing for writing. I don’t feel like I’m constrained by a tiny screen because I don’t feel like I’ve got anything on the edges of said screen to hold it in. The screen still slowly takes up my vision, It’s taller in size than the screen of a 6/7/8 Plus but thinner than said screen. I don’t know how Apple considers this 5.4 inch compared to 678’s 5.5 inch, but, I went to an Apple store before the mini came out to hold the regular size and I will say it’s a gorgeous screen. But holding it, I just knew I’d get tired of the size eventually. I’ve been more interested in a small phone lately and this hit the spot.
I am about to be in the same boat! I also have a 7 plus and for the same reasons want to switch to the 12 mini. I am literally waiting for my case to arrive in the mail and then head on over and buy one.

But he stated why he likes it. The small size feels much more secure in the hands. It's actually tempting to me tbh. I have no brand loyalty. I get work done on my iPad and HP laptop, I watch movies and tv on my 4k 50" Samsung. Given all of my devices, my phone doesnt really need to do all that much, it just needs to have a design I like with a UX that's comfortable. I have the Samsung Note 10 Plus but barely use what it's capable of

Fire Vid! I own the Mini and Love the Mini. I’m over big phones and only liked them when they were trending. I love you can one hand text with ease, small footprint, and same features as the reg 12. Battery life loses about one-two hours on iPhone 12 phone I owned for a month and I’m a heavy user so if you just charge this for 15-30/day like I DID with my other phone you’ll be good from 6:30a-11:30pm no problem👍👊🏼PS cams incredible for filming vids...no 12pro required

Switching to the mini may be a good way to escape from our media consumption habit... We may begin to use our phones more like phones again and use like a macbook for watching videos just like back in the days. I think that there are way better things to do in everyday life than being captive of our phones. I really love iPhones and I think that the mini is the best deal for someone who wants a nice and sleek phone that works. (the real pros may rather take the pro max, ok). In the end watching all your videos on your phone has as a consequence the fact that you won't quit the phone whereas doing the same on your macbook will force you to leave it while doing something else (eating, going to the toilet, going outside, hanging around with your GF/BF, and many more...).
I remember having the blue iPhone 12 mini before getting the new deep purple iPhone 14 pro max and it was very cool to have a small phone but it did get a little old throughout time and I’m very happy with the iPhone 14 pro max📱🤘🏻
Started with an iPhone 4S, 5S, 6S and finally an 8 Plus. Now back to the iPhone 12 Mini. Love it! Battery life is not a concern, and now have a cutting edge iPhone that slips comfortably into my pocket. No negatives.

I got the 12 pro max for the specs and I use it for media consumption and photo/video and I got the iPhone 12 mini for daily use and I couldn’t be happier.. I’m so glad they went to the old school square design.

I have an iPad Air II for anything internet. . . ish (and an iMac) and when I left my employer (who supplied my cell/smart phones for the last 12 years) I went with the 12 Mini. I don't stream videos, play games or visit Facebook and the size is great for calling, texting and having a camera available all the times and an occasional Google for menus or store hours and maps while traveling. I like the smaller size.

The mini and ios 14 is the first phone that'll bring me back. I've been an Android guy for a decade, having had 3gs, se, and the X for all of a month. Finally feels like Apple is playing its strengths again.
I went from the 10s max to the SE and now I want a 12 mini. I think other companies are going to follow apple and offer smaller phones. After the initial day or two of getting used to such a small screen I actually like it better now

I love my mini. Some people say its really small, but i think the screen size really makes up for it. If you have an iphone 8 plus, the 12 mini screen is almost the exact same size. The camera is fantastic. My only complaint is the battery. I would totally recommend this phone.
