I got chills when he said Dmitry didn’t even used all his combo shots. Bivol has such a great future ahead of him. He’s perfect. He is well disciplined, hard worker, believed in himself, and a very humble champion! He’s the real deal.
humble
No, he didn't use all his tools. I said it from day 1, Bivol beats Canelo all day. I saw him as an amateur in Germany , when he came with the russian team. He was knocking out almost every opponent, dominating all of them, from Brazil, USA, Germany, England etc Canelo is getting knocked out in a rematch.
Perfect?😂 The parasites have discovered a new host!
that is true ,because he respect canelos power and dont want to be careless
@@billiondollarbaby973 whats on Ur mind
Bivol fought within himself he appeared to have another level he didn't use. Bivol too big and skilled - mentally strong and disciplined humble and down to earth.
Also to quick for canelo
agree...big guy can really take punches...joel is really right...thats my prediction coz the quickness and the size of bivol really disrupt canelo...
I think he could've put him away, he wanted the rematch for the payday, cant fault bivol for wanting that
To big to strong n skilled ! No way Canelo was ever able to hurt this man , Canelo to small for him
Funny thing is that the ild trainer of ggg said the same. Bivol had sparred lots of his fighters and his insight was that Bivol never gets in the final gear in terms of taking initiatives and creating opportunities; as its expected at elite level. Still Bivol was better than canelo but lets see with e.g. Beterbiev… PS i a big bivol fan!!!
If Canelo wants challenges there's a lot of them at 168 & 160. Stay away from 175. This was a warning for him to stay in his lane.
He didn't take clenbuterol this time , did you see how he gassed? Lol
Charlo and Benavidez aren't challenges. Easy fights for Canelo.
Now he has no where to run

Shouldn't even be a rematch he schooled him in 1st gear but Hearn and Rematchroom boxing.
Everybody should show bivol some respect coming into this everybody was saying he was gonna lose he showed everybody he belongs and can hang with the best
Lol rematchroom boxing 🤣 🤣🤣
Exactly hearn just gets a pay day and he's obviously ducking ggg which should've taken place a few years ago they are delaying it on purpose because they know ggg is ageing and getting slower
Canelo is a paper champion The promoters built canelo’s carrier and they are done protecting him. Listen this is the start of his downfall. He couldn’t knock lighter fighters who the decision could off go either way like Lara Cotto, Triple GGG Covalvt clearly said he got paid to give the fight away . That’s the reality Canelo is a paper champion that’s it.
"REMATCHROOM BOXING" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good to see Joel Diaz back in the spot light. He is a great coach!
Bivol can definitely go for the KO in the rematch. Canelo should avoid that fight at all cost.
Nah. Canelo can beat him.
Maybe if Canelo is allowed to bring a baseball bat
Canelo gassed out fast....

This didn't shock me one bit. I knew it would happen. I just can't believe how many idiots don't understand why there are different weight classes? Kovalev was old and was forced to lose a lot of weight and wasn't allowed to rehydrate himself prior to that fight. And when Canelo doesn't use those pussy tactics, this is what happens!
What tactics? I had to work, couldn’t watch the fight. I agree with you on every point. I’m just curious as to what tactics you mean because I think Canelo has some really bad habits.
Try saying that to Mayweather he used those tactics draining fighters all the time

You need a new word. He's not underrated, you're just ignorant
Actually he's not bivols coach he was part of a team, did some job, gave advises but main coach is a Russian old man who's been training bivol since amateur
Robert Garcia gonna be mad jealous that Joel took out his favorite fighter with Bivol.
Way better than Eddie
@@goodthingshappen9281 He’s also the trainer of a lot of the good Uzbek fighters.
Those scorecards were way off bivol one every single round it was more 117-112 they tried to screw bivol out of the fight
They were trying hard to give Canelo the edge but Bivol was too dominant, they had no choice but to give him the decision. To think it would have been a draw if Bivol didnt win the 12th. 115-113 is downright criminal
they tried but you cant when it was so one sided...........
i agree but Floyd robbed several Boxers... Maidana, de la hoya & clearly got his ass kicked by Castillo and 118-110 vs Pacquiao was robbery.... why does the media & fans always question Canelo's scorecards but accept mayweather bullshit? Canelo only has 1 debatable draw that was against GGG... the others he lost period!! Floyd got his 50th win against UFC McGregor, really? it's racist to question the Hispanic's record but don't question the blacks man's record... Floyd is not undefeated
you may not be canelo... but you're definitely mayweather hater 🙄
@@rovekid1 what
I fully agree with Bivol's coach . In my humble opinion Canelo's weakness is poor continuity of shots and the obsessive search for a strong shot .. well this can work in his natural divsion 168 & 160 lbs but at 175 lbs the size factor is predominant .
Bivol would beat him at 168. Dmitry put a little bit more muscle than usually, but he's a natural 168. He's always the smaller guy at lhw.
Bivol said he will fight him at 168 and take his belts. Bivol probably took all that Mexican booing and disrespect personal lowkey.
Bivol can go down as well since he's a natural 168, thats why he said in the rematch he wants to fight with some of his rules, bcs canelo didn't give him any space to chose anything
And he has bricks for feet haha
@@alco2758 thats the scary thing for Canelo the guy would take all his belts off him, therefore there will be no rematch ever

@@osimhenmichael8612 I didn’t know that, Bivol fought well and stuck to the game plan I feel that weight took it’s toll on Canelo my money will be on Bivol again
It must be said that Bivol didn’t look remotely bothered by anything Canelo threw at him. Honestly, Canelo should think twice about the rematch…..he can’t really get bigger and that won’t help him anyway. If he goes smaller it won’t help him either. His only option is to cheat and get back on the clen again and try to tighten up his body composition….oh and pay the judges more next time. Lol🤷🏻
Viva mexico, we have too much pride wigga 😎🇲🇽🇲🇽

Bivol vs Beterbiev is the fight to be made
Was here to say that. It'd be pure destruction.
Fight of the year if not the decade. These Russian fighters are special.
Arum needs to stop dodging talks about it
Canelo vs Beterbiev can’t claim to have been a goat and then get beat and dominated and then run from the division and never fight there again you can’t live that down Canelo will think this way himself 😂

Bivol knows nelo can’t hurt him . Second time around Bivol may stop him .
Agree
Nottttttt.
He was letting canelo recover a few times throughout the fight on the ropes, more combinations and it wouldve been stopped
yup thats true, stay at gameplan not going careless
His trainer said that if Bivol didn't block he would be koed. They obviously didn't want to test a dude who breaks faces power.
As good as Canelo is, weight class is the way it is for a reason.. props to him for trying to win all the different division belts.
This was Canelo 2nd fight at 175.. that excuse would of worked if he lost his 1st fight at 175.. but you can’t say that when he’s 1-1 at 175… he just fought someone who eas better than him…
That’s why I rate Roy Jones higher than canelo. Roy went from 168 to 175 and defending the belt 10x and then finally went to the heavy weight division and became heavy weight champ.

Bivol knows how to use his body. His defense literally covers all knockout buttons on the body, and if you notice Bivols arms getting red from defending against canelos big shots. Bivol also managed the distance by using that long jab which kept Canelo out of reach.
Bivol dominated Canelo in the most basic of ways. His footwork is sooo damn good. He glides across the ring, in and out, without keeping his head in a straight line but his eyes are always in the right place. Bivol didn't have to go far into his toolbox, he didn't have to load up on anything, and he didn't have to be flashy. This was a terrible stylistic matchup for Canelo.
Might just be one of the underestimated trainers of the generation also was Tim Bradley's trainer did a great job now people he's clearly a great trainer great game plan when it comes to fighting
I knew bivol wasn't going all the way he was giving canelo too much respect but the most % bivol was giving was at least 75/80%
Why do people say that bivol gave it he's all 100% that's why he won he can probably do better in a rematch cause he knows what canelo can do but trust me all boxers want that knock out its just that they can't or won't take that extra risk of them getting cought.
Those straight combos on the face were Joel Diaz longheld arsenal on Pacquiao now he passed it on Bivol that weakens and frustrste Canelo
2:10 "The size difference is a big factor." For real, Bivol can probably eat at least Cruiser weight's punch for lunch, Canelo's punch is for breakfast. But we can't blame Canelo for going up weight, he dared to be great. Much respect to that, when fighters are afraid to go up and get knocked out. Can't imagine GGG or Charlo going up to Light heavyweight.
"Most people didnt see this happening tonight".. I called it ONCE again and have the betting slip to prove it. All these so called boxing experts. lol..It was not close and Canelo got the crap beat out of him. Did any one actually think Bivol would not do MUCH MUCH better than an old worn out Kovalev??? people were hypnotized and everyone followed everyone else, and those who called Bivol to win stepped out of this collective psychological box and used their common sense to predict the logical probable winner. Again the judges were biased...115-113?? what fight were they watching??..the announcers and myself had Bivol winning at least 8 rounds...Canelo was throwing one punch at a time, while Bivol was throwing beautiful combinations.
8 rounds? Which rounds?
@@boxingfan1l950 The first 4 for sure, and the last three without a doubt, so pick on between them...The punch stats prove it. If your a Canelo fan boy dont bother.

If you watched the fight and listened to the corner chat, Diaz is spot on. They iced his arm and told him to pull back when Canelo countered with a right hook. Brilliant game plan on the team's part- well done.
I’m a fan of Canelo, he evidently lost. Props to Bivol for the win ! Makes it sting less that Bivols trainer is from Mexico though lol
All canelos shots were power and bivol only had a sore arm ,that's enough to say he doesn't have enough power for that division if you don't box
SHUT your trap!
Beg to differ: punch-for-punch Canelo is the heavier hitter. Moreover, if not for Bivol's tight defence, Canelo would likely (T)KO Bivol. Heavier hitter or not - Bivol's defence (and confidence) make him a really hard nut to crack.

There was a time when I cringed when hearing Canelo was moving up to 168lb. But he managed to adapted to that weight class do to his amazing skill and work ethic. When I heard he was moving up to 175lb to try to unify I knew it was a terrible idea he’s just to small. A lot of people don’t realize that Canelo is barley 5’8 he’s giving up way to many attributes at the highest level of 175lb. It could actually end his career much earlier. He should really reconsider because there are weight classes for a reason.
Concurred. He hits as hard as any 175-er. He's very technically sound, too (with a couple of reservations here and there). But the height and reach difference is a difficult to circumvent shortcoming.
Spot on analysis
Great interview got a lot of good info from Joel Diaz
Bivol will do more damage in the rematch.
Actually We’re not surprised that bvol can beat canelo, bvol is too strong and too big for little canelo ..
Before the fight, some people were saying that Bivol was a light puncher (no knockouts in last few fights) and so Canelo would just walk through his punches and then break him down. Bivol is no Rocky Fielding. He not only has the skills, which he used to keep Canelo away for most of the fight. But he was also more than able to take what Canelo through at him. He has excellent punch resistance and was great on the counter as well.
Weight class is there for a reason a guy train his whole carrier at 175 what make you think you can just up to that weight class and do damage to that champ. It's possible but very hard I think if he rematch the same result that guy is solid very deciplin and calculated.

Bivol showed his skill set for this match because he knew Canelo wouldn’t be a match for him. Bivol made a point that if he showcased his skills against Canelo, then Canelo would realized the difference in skill.
Bivol looked like a bigger version of GGG (that also beat Canelo twice in my opinion)
I want a Bivol vs GGG. I had GGG winning both fights against Canelo, plus GGG is more natural light Heavyweight. For Bivol this is a great opportunity because GGG is still a great fighter but slowly declining.

Completely agree---you could tell that Bivol was just too big for Canelo. Also, in various exchanges Bivol counterpounched and landed on Canelo's face. Canelo was surprised because he never received this from previous opponents. The reach and height of Bivol was just too much.
