This idea of Kingpyn is fantastic. No matchup hard deals or pull outs just fight whoever is in fromt of you and it makes great matchups!
I wish as a tournament was going they would start a new one that way we could have more events and more matches on cards.
Great perfomance from Gib! Rounds 1 and 2 were competitive and razor thin, but rounds 3 to 5 were complete domination from Gib. Gib just overwhelmed and drowned Jarvis. If it was 6 rounds, Gib would've potentially stopped him. Jarvis had great counters and great offense, but the cardio and volume punches of Gib was someting Jarvis wasn't ready for. It showed that Gib can adapt and gets better while the fight progresses.

Gib's cardio is crazy
This is a perfect example that shows traditional boxing fans (myself included) what influencer boxing is capable of, fair play to both these men. I also really like this tournament format.
As a fan of both it’s a tough fight to watch but you can see who put in more work. Gib is a beast, always top notch cardio. It is insane to see Jarvis’s improvement and how well he did against Gib who is a more experienced fighter and who has been training for longer. If Jarvis decides to continue I’m sure he’ll do great, but for now a huge congrats to Gib and lets watch what he brings to his next fight.

Jarvis sank, Gib swam. But don’t take too much credit away from the kid! For his third fight and making Gib work hard for the win, and definitely giving him one of his hardest fights since Jake, is pretty damn incredible! 🔥🥊❤️ Seriously, he’s got so much potential he’s just got to work harder on distance and also cardio.

This wasn’t Gibs hardest fight since Jake Paul be real, he beat Jarvis in every round except the 1st and the 2nd round could go either way

Taylor had nothing after the first shot, Austin got fucked up after 2 rounds, second Austin fight he was a lot more composed but scared then he “twisted his ankle”, this though he did have to work through only another 1 to 2 rounds lost sure, but Jarvis just kept coming at him! And that’s something he hasn’t experienced since Jake, the other two fell to his force of cardio and power, Jarvis kept coming through the power and just lost on cardio wise. Tough ass kid, give him some credit.

Gibs work rate and endurance is insane, he was throwing bombs from the opening bell, great fight 💯💯. Jarvis was bringing equal amount of firepower but the big gibber manage to systematically and methodical break him down round by round respect to both fighters.

Difference between nunes and gib is that gib actually knows how to deal with someone like kenny. Nunes was just waiting out of range. Gib will get in and make it a rough fight for kenny. But will be a good match for sure
If Kenny wins it’s by stoppage, no way Kenny finds a home for that jab and uppercut and doesn’t put gib away by just catching him off balance (like Jake did) but If Kenny can’t land those two punches consistently it’s gonna be a long night for him

Watching the replay, Gibs defence movements dont get nearly enough credit. He rarely got caught clean in this fight because hes constantly putting his arms up at just the right time or just out of range to be caught from Jarvis. This is why Kenny vs Gib will be super competitive, because gib has the ability to close distance on whoever he fights, and can has some of the best defence in the influencer scene

Gib's usage of long guard defense is very high level for this scene. He's always cognizant of distance; constantly framing, moving with the momentum of punches, and circling around the opponent. He also knows when to get his hands up mid-combo to absorb counters like a decent brawler. He may be a bit vulnerable to getting hit at times, but he's super hard to hurt and he knows how to turn clean punches into grazing blows.
I always say this. I even see it during fights but people don't. He is unorthodox but he doesn't take shots like people say he does. He just has unorthodox movement and his combinations are really what wins him the fight
@@brandonadam7167yeah in a sense it’s cause he knows he doesn’t have the back pedal ability, and his style is more constantly testing and moving forward so it’s a defense that is very suited to his style as well cause it seems to constantly allow him to keep close and dangerous

Gib is a more textbook boxer, Jarvis is trying to bull his way in the guard and get a heavy hit. While Gib at times does try to do the same he knows when and how to do it and has the combinations to back it up and punish.

Gib is not seasoned at all, his mechanics are all rusty and his set up with his jab is straight trash. Kenny (who’s been doing it for a shorter time) is well more seasoned. His timing and his ability to maneuverer around the ring is impressive.

Gibs got that awkward style that's real hard to fight against, looks a bit janky with his movement but it's hard to get your timing down against it and his work rate is relentless. Jarvis didn't set anything up, he was throwing too many single shots and got out worked.
