@@eabhaishere4558 This is actually true because (spoilers!!!!) in a later episode where they take a statement from a guy who has probably adhd, he basically tells how he escaped a manifastation of the spiral unharmed because he lost focus XD. I'm genuinly starting to believe that the entitys have a hard time making adhd people do the things they are "supossed" to do in these situations

I can totally see myself as this guy. With my ADHD hyperfocus and general obliviousness, that could very easily have been me, just la di dah ing through some creepy shit. The conversation he had with Megan really, REALLY sounded like me "Welp, doing my thing, paying attention to thing, but someone wants to talkk [ugh] so I'mma make vague interested noises while I do my thing."
Plumber with ADHD doesn't notice demons, so they invite him again.

We just...have issues directing it in the "proper" places 🙈 I myself get so absorbed reading the transcripts of these episodes that I see nothing beyond the words. I cant even register other people's words half the time One time I was so focused on going to work I walked right past the remains of my cat that the coyotes left behind. I like to think that Sebastian was Megan's first "case" or something. And she got so frustrated that he wasn't picking up on her subtle, well-practiced creepiness that she had to call him again and just shoved him into the room so he'd see it all or she'd be teased by all the other demons forever

i like to think that sebastian had encountered several paranormal things before, and just... didnt notice. like he bumped into a not-them at a supermarket while they were in their normal form and was just like "oh sorry have a nice day"

Megan had to grab my boy Sebastian by his face and literally force him to look at the scene for him to realise that something was wrong. What a man. Much respect. Wish this happened in a horror movie. The demon just trying harder and harder for the protagonist to notice it. The protagonist only notices it days after it has given up and is crying in a corner.

Sometimes minerals get clogged in drains and it turns water red. I used to live in a rental and any time I’d come home from a vacation the water would run red for a few minutes in the drains because the minerals would add up from not using the pipes for a week
As a plumbers apprentice, it’s more accurate than you’d think. There’s a pretty strong tendency to just keep your head down and disassociate while on the job
I can see why Megan was shocked the first time. This Chad just walked in, had a pleasant conversation with her about getting flensed, and pulled a lump of flesh out of her drain without even blinking an eye, let alone gettong scared

I'm thinking "ok but who the hell is playing the calliope" and then I thought: Squidward: but who was turning off the lights? *cuts to Nosferatu messing with the lights Sea gang: _Nosferatu!_ And it sort of put me at ease. Seriously though, we know that Breecker and Hope are in some way tied to the circus, and the circus is comprised entirely of Not!People, or at least things I call The Other if I'm wrong about the Not!People. They definitely aren't human. The circus is also tied to the cursed clown doll and idk, maybe they're trying to turn Jon into one of those dolls? Thinking back on it now I wonder if maybe that clown was the victim, not the culprit. Maybe it was warning that woman. And the calliope. I know the music is strange and can be heard up to a mile away. I wonder if that too is a warning, or a threat. The man that became a doll, he also heard the music even when the instrument wasn't playing. Up until it got him. Bottom line is they know where Jon is and someone wants him to know that. Maybe they're trying to direct him towards a certain path? Or to keep him away

I love the idea you could possibly defeat the fears by essentially ignoring them. They'd basically be the mascots from that one Simpsons Halloween special.
Yeah and that one woman in the subway survived because she just excepted her death and stopped being scared. They just want fear and when you don't give it to them they get bored or pissed off.
I mean that's literally how they defeat Freddy in the first Nightmare on Elm Street.

I feel like it's less ignoring them and more not noticing them. Like, if you notice it, and then you try to ignore it, that's not going to work. (I'm fairly sure there are episodes where someone noticed and attempted to ignore the fears and it ended badly for them, but I don't remember which lol)

"She seemed a bit taken aback by this, so I apologized, assuming I had been a bit too crude for her, and I asked her where I could find the problem drain." I listened to this with a friend a while back, while we were both high. Both being asexual, and knowing how it feels to have to rephrase because people think you mean something else, we both decided that the best interpretation of this is that while Sebastion is trying to speak directly and not faff about, Megan took his words to be flirtatious (crudely so, but still). I love the idea of an eldrich abomination trying to scare a dude, and then getting flustered because she thinks he's not just not scared, but genuinely attracted.
No, Megan did not take his words as being flirtatious, that's the wrong interpretation. Just rude and crass.

Oh. Ohhhh. (Ep 111 spoilers) . . . . . Consider: The Entities are our fears. According to Jude Perry, Avatars need to "feed" their fears, i.e. somehow invoke that fear in others. Jude and Megan probably intended for Sebastian to be very scared by horrible things he saw there, and escape with some very frightening stories to spread around, making lots of tasty fear for them. Instead, he came there and _didn't even notice_ the things that were supposed to scare him. Basically, it's like they ordered UberEats and the driver forgot the food. XD
Did anyone else notice how Gertrude said "zero one four one zero one zero"? Specifically, the last two "One zero"s are very... robotic.

Oh my god he's literally me. I'm so unobservant, I once completely missed the fact that a building right near my house that I passed by almost daily for years had been knocked down. I didn't know about it until months after the fact and my dad looked at me like I was crazy when he had to tell me that "Yes, there was a HUGE building there". I couldn't even remember what it looked like because most of the time my eyes just pass over things my brain deems unimportant. It happens way more often than I'd like to admit. It can be frustrating and embarrassing but also pretty hilarious and usually harmless.

God, the sheer irony that i missed the funniest joke in the series because i was too busy worrying about when the monsters would strike and i didn't google Flensing at the time.
