  • Absolutely agree with everything you said. I love it when games have a diverse range of play styles. I don't expect all of them to be OP, but having the option to play janky teams and still being able to complete a mission is extremely fun. What I hoped when they said they were "rebalancing the enemies and trinkets", I hoped they were planning to make these alternate play styles more viable so there wouldn't be a "meta". But this patch makes it absolutely clear that the developers don't want this outcome for the game. It's a complete shame. Haven't been this disappointed in a while.

    • Ditto. I went wholly expecting buffs for all kinds of stuff that were subpar - useless trinkets & abilities galore. Instead I see nothing but nerfs. Lol.

    • I am baffled. I really want to know what their though process was when it came to the trinkets. I'm half tempted to join the discord, but I've only heard bad things when it comes to taking criticism.

  • Honestly, I tried the veiled & 2HWM party and thought it was complete broken in night time exposed land, not until my first attend to a champion mission. Things went down really fast, the first fight bring one of my highway to death door in one turn, then i realize the farming team is not a op team, it's a high risk team with basically none defense play there. you have to wash them out as fast as possible, and the nerf just like take an arm out of a team, i'm not sure it is still valid or not. Also, your guide page on steam are gone, and as i remember the patch nerf most the party you build (except for living ammo musketeer, she finally get some love), damn bro that feel personal. dev just mess with all "working" team we get, they even nerf Hex, she is already in ground. But in general, not only the heros get nerf, also the enemy. The resist nerf is one of the most remarkable one, the mark team might have their way to shine. Sometimes i think dev didn't actually think about how long for players to build a good team, with both strategy and quirks that make them practical. it is really hard to gather everything in one piece, the change is bound to be unpleasant. But maybe we can give it a try since the game is still updating. By the way, your BR guide is great, it's shame that it is gone.

    • Yeah, I've had the same experience - I thought that party was imba until champion. I'm pretty sure it's invalidated as it was literally 1 step from oblivion, always. Rewriting it is a lot of work and I totally don't feel doing that. Especially since yes, most of my parties are gone & the progress is wiped. As for the enemy nerfs - it's kinda overstated. Mark teams already had their function. So did the DoTs - they were already excellent way to farm kvarotz & decent vs troglodytes. It's just the nature of them - they're not a good universal thing, they're anti-protection thing. Which is why a primary dot stuff (like plague doctor) will never work in exposed interior, for example.

    • ​@@NerdCommandoGameStudios Well, at least I get more chance on marking that god damn cave howler in the backline, maybe? Speaking about kvarotz, the stress healing nerf and a lot of trinket that provide virtue chance make me feel they try to tell everyone without stress managing to go f themselves and go play virtue team. Which is not a good idea, especially the part that heavily rely on RNG. It's ridiculous since it should be serve as a last breath opportunity, rely on RNG is not a wise thing to do.

    • I don't remember, had they nerfed virtue teams? With irrepressible you used to be able to have 100% virtue chance across the board with hero's ring and another +25% virtue rare item. Dark crown, mb.

    • He does average damage while retaining his "fun for everyone" gimmick. It's just not worth it when you can have characters with better damage output and without extra stress.

    • @@NerdCommandoGameStudios That's a pretty unconvincing argument if you treat his Beast Mode like a panic button you only hit versus annoying Size 2 enemies like I do. It doesn't make sense to me to call him trash when he works without a hitch in 3/4 regions and including him will almost universally improve your chances of seeing the end of a mission when compared to other characters. He's tanky, fast, self-sustaining, accurate, easy to trinket for, I could go on and on forever. By contrast I'd argue that he has a tendency to make a lot of other damage strategies defunct because out of the box his approach is so much more patient and less volatile.
