  • if ur wondering why this isn't more popular, it's better this remains non-mainstream... actually that goes for all good rock bands. their meaningful music should be reserved for the people that actually try to find good music. not kids who only jam to pop radio shit. it's respectable when a band refuses to sell out into the mainstream and instead stay true to their own sound. it shows they care about fans more than money.

  • This song reminds me so much of myself. I have been suicidal since a little kid and I am fighting mysef since then to try and live normally, but I've always been so alone. I always wished for someone to share the burden with me, because I cannot fight all my thoughts on my own. Great song. This song, together with their other song Right Here actually managed to make me cry. I am shocked they're not popular. Their music really means a lot to me.

As a student studying under great pressure in a Christian school, I was so depressed, helpless and lonely. . Then songs of Ashes came into my life. Their music comfort me so much in my dark times. . After some days, the song Here for a Reason let me realized that Ashes is a Christian rock band!! The one who their songs have been mentioning is the God of love, mercy and forgiving Who my classmates and teachers are believing in. . Soon, with a heart long for help with my depression, I decided to give a try, to see if the god is that wonderful like the one Ashes is telling through music. . After a year of seeking for imformation and words from god, I became a Christian. And in those times, I step out of the control of depression day by day. . Now, I have a lot of loving friends at school and in church. My life is filled with joy and no more depression. Everyday, I experience the presence, love and mercy of god. . The most important, I got the saviour from god who this song is mentioning. . God is the only one who can totally change someone's life. He saved me from depression and darkness. All thanks to this song. It's really life changing. . At last, Hope that anyone who is reading this is not alone anymore, and get this amazing present from God. Just like what I've experienced.   • My prayer to God in COVID 19. My dreams they are gone, crushed. I was a senior in college and I was stripped from my community. It was my first and last year living on campus. God provided the funds and spoke to me that I would grow closer to Him. It was a miracle, the best of years. 2020 was going to be my year! I thought I would have a huge revelation about my purpose but all I have are questions. Senior year is over. I won’t be getting an honor’s awards ceremony even though I worked my BUTT off! I won’t be going to Junior Senior Ball with my besties. I won’t be leading worship at our final chapel and I may not get a graduation. Church is online and the US is now leading in cases. What is this cruel reality? I can’t take it. This is too hard😭 I am only 22. I do not want to lose my parents, but they are high risk. I want them to see me graduate and get a job, fall in love and get married. I don’t know the future, I don’t have anything super exciting to look forward to and I am so scared of this virus. I have anxiety disorder and Aspergers Syndrome. It’s been so hard making friends, but now I gotta start over. It feels like I am going backyards and that my thoughts are lying to me. “I was not meant to fight on my own”.
