700 hp 2JZ Powered Chevy Monte Carlo Drift Car
This was another really fun shoot. Timofei built this car in his garage in Russia with 1 intent...to drift and man does this thing get the job done! He started by body swapping a Toyota Chaser with a Chevy Monte Carlo, swapped the engine for a 2JZ with a single turbo making 700 hp and then started shredding tires like you'll see here so sit back and enjoy the ride...

Love the car. Seeing it on the road reminds me of the mid 90s here in australia. When i bought my 1969 Datsun 1600 with a worked engine. It had a ported and polished and blue printed block and a set of original webbers, forged pistons with custom exhaust. I used to hokn around the coastal town here in australia in it and took part in rhe odd illeagal street race. Its gun metal grey with a set of chrome dragway rims. I took it off the road back in the early 2000s when my kids were born and i started getting interested in v8s. Its sittinv up on jack stands and covered but at some point this year i intend to do a full restomod on it and possibly do the car show route. Friends of mine have said i should put a small capacity v8 in it but i dont want to do that. I really want to keep it datsun under the hood, no turbo or force induction, but i really wanr to do it like i see germans doing their vw's etc with the really bare looking engine bays, hidden wiring, brakw boosters etc. And i want to do a light blue like cornflower blue and it will have to have that wet look i want in the engine bay as i want to have a lot of brushed stainless bits that will look great against the blue and have the mid 90s look to it i want. Deep dish rims in white and will be riding either race car suspension or limo airbags My younger brother has started the renderings for it and my older brother is working on constructing a new rotissarie so i can work on the under carriage. Theres a lot of work that goes into reroring a car and i think a lot of people start restoring their rides and get overwhelmed buy the amount of work they have to do and the cost involved. Planning, research and making a budget and sticking to it is my advice. You definetley don't want to get into debt when retoring a car

Ok I know what I said about the Volvo but this really slaps balls to beef curtains. Monty’s are one of my favorite cars and 2j sequential is obviously a great choice. The stickers are hilarious.

Great use of a classic
I don't really care for drift cars and drifting but I sure appreciate horsepower and careful chassis set-up. This one's got it in a very unique way. For four years of high school I had to drive 30 miles in/out from the ranch.....300+ miles/week. On dirt/gravel/black top roads I did a lot of slipping and sliding (what we called it then) in my '57 Ford with 3 deuces and police engine. Loved it and got me into trouble more than a few times. Best way on earth to learn how to handle a car.

As long as it has lights, signals and insurance that car is completely legal in my state, hell you can have 2500hp fully tubed and it would be legal as long as you have what i mentioned.
