8:03 ngl i think the adriano martins loss was destined to happen and was overall benifitial for islam's career martins is a southpaw with a power right hand and basically showed islam he can't overextend if martins lost that fight then someone would've capitalized on islam's overextending eventually
It'll look exactly like Dustin vs Khabib but with even less success on the feet for Dustin. Dustin tries to corner him with boxing and falls into a clinch to judo trip takedown, guard passed, back take, choke out. Then Islam gets Dustin's blackbelt.
I’m an Islam fan, and I totally agree with you Dustin is dangerous and got nothing to lose and it might be his last chance for a title fight. Islam needs to hear this and not think about 170. Dustin has the ability to do it.

Dustin gets the W with a finish of some sort. Either KO/TKO or the GILLY... (; Genuinely believe this fight will be the "upset of the year". I see Dustin becoming the NEW LW KING. Islam is great and statistically better in most areas; however, I feel in my gut about Dustin going out there and proving to himself and the world that anything can be accomplished when you have that DAWG in your heart, determination, and self-belief. Dustin needs to have the best fight of his life to get it done and we might witness magic on June 1st.

The only way to beat Islam is a lucky punch both in lightweight and welterweight. People counting him out in welterweight but I believe he beats most of the welterweight including Leon, Colby, Belal, etc. The only tough match for Islam is Shavkat. The same goes with Shavkat. Shavkat beats everybody in welterweight. Shavkat vs Islam is the real match. Both well disciplined, muslims, caucasians, know both sides. This is the match that once in a lifetime for all who truly understand mixed martial arts.

I respect your opinion but saying Poirier has nothing to lose is not correct for me.This is his last title shot.Getting finished by Islam very early because of an unnecessary move also will tarnish Dustin's legacy.So I don't think Dustin will take a lot of risks against Islam.It will be a very technical between two calculated fighters.Not a dog fight.

I think the only way that Dustin wins this fight, is with Dustin knocking out Islam in the clinch or moving away from defending a take down. Those are Dustin's most dangerous places against Islam. Islam's camp should definitely take that into account.
I expect Islam to win but both being southpaw is definitely something take into account. Islam’s never fought an elite southpaw like Poirier before, a check right hook if it connects might stun Mahkachev and leg kicks could annoy him as well though I doubt Poirier will throw them just because of the takedown threat. I wouldn’t count Poirier out just because there’s always a punchers chance which is even higher since they’re both southpaw but I see Islam winning.

Islam needs to be careful with Dustin as Dustin has heavy hands in the pocket, and is a finisher if he thinks your hurt. If Islam keeps Dustin at a distance he will trip him up against the fence and take his back and submit him in the second round.

I think Porier has a decent chance of rocking Islam but i still see Islam grinding him out over time and making Dustin tap, good to see Dustin get this respect from the UFC but does feel a little undeserved considering he beat a somewhat unproven #12 contender with a illness, good for PPV but quite boring for the sport
