I think thats because they are 'regular' sized, in the first shot its the camera angle that made the cat look much larger than he actually is. this is a larger cat than average, just not as exagerated as in the first shot. The cat definitely does not have head 1.5x the size of a human's

Huh. It's interesting that you should say that as in my experience, it's usually the complete opposite. Most cats and dogs don't fight... it is possible behaviours based on owners training and care. My husky can be aggressive towards other dogs (w good reason, long story lol) but will snuggle w my dwarf rabbit. He loves our fish and our hamster too. From a young age I trained him to be gentle w his "pack/family". Ijs

@chthulu27 It’s definitely a Maine coon. You can tell by its coat, and it’s tuft ears. However it’s an exceptionally large one. They all are pretty big, this guy just got the Shaquille O’Neil of them.

There’s a variance in size, my boy’s on the smaller side at 14 lbs. I think it might be because he was abandoned & on his own for months before I was able to rescue him, so he didn’t have regular, healthy meals which might have stunted his growth, he’s just 36” long.

I used to go to a tea shop in the city I live, and there was a really friendly (and MASSIVE) male maine coone called Schrodinger that used to hang about and would sometimes come and sit on your couch or table for pets, before sauntering off into the alley or out to the garden to catch some sun. Genuinely one of the most chill and friendly cats I ever met. He didn't care that you were a stranger, he wasn't territorial at all and just loved to be around people, for a while at least haha.

My cat is huge too. When I show my friends pictures, I’ve been asked how is he nice when he could probably kill me in my sleep. He’s the sweetest most affectionate thing in the universe, has severe separation anxiety from me (which sucks bc I’m at university) and is scared of anything that isn’t me or my house. He’s afraid of DOORBELLS AND CARGO PANTS there’s no way he could kill me in my sleep. My precious needy little bastard I love him so much.

The breed is called Maincoon,The largest domestic cat breed in the world. It looks like this one isn’t even fully grown yet, I’ve seen other ones as big as the Aussie dog he had next to his cat.

@@lunarcross5581 Yup have known/had a few in my life, none were quite this big, but they were fairly large.. Domestic. short hair cats are usually. supposed to. be 10~pounds, My aunt's heaviest was about 35lbs.

It's called distance based perspective. He takes video of the bricks from farther away, and a higher angle, than when filming the dogs & cat. Just like how you can put your Thumb up and block out the moon with it. @@_xiryu_

I think thats because they are 'regular' sized, in the first shot its the camera angle that made the cat look much larger than he actually is. this is a larger cat than average, just not as exagerated as in the first shot. The cat definitely does not have head 1.5x the size of a human's

Huh. It's interesting that you should say that as in my experience, it's usually the complete opposite. Most cats and dogs don't fight... it is possible behaviours based on owners training and care. My husky can be aggressive towards other dogs (w good reason, long story lol) but will snuggle w my dwarf rabbit. He loves our fish and our hamster too. From a young age I trained him to be gentle w his "pack/family". Ijs

@chthulu27 It’s definitely a Maine coon. You can tell by its coat, and it’s tuft ears. However it’s an exceptionally large one. They all are pretty big, this guy just got the Shaquille O’Neil of them.
There’s a variance in size, my boy’s on the smaller side at 14 lbs. I think it might be because he was abandoned & on his own for months before I was able to rescue him, so he didn’t have regular, healthy meals which might have stunted his growth, he’s just 36” long.
You gotta brush them every day

I had one. They are sweet and lovable.

I used to go to a tea shop in the city I live, and there was a really friendly (and MASSIVE) male maine coone called Schrodinger that used to hang about and would sometimes come and sit on your couch or table for pets, before sauntering off into the alley or out to the garden to catch some sun. Genuinely one of the most chill and friendly cats I ever met. He didn't care that you were a stranger, he wasn't territorial at all and just loved to be around people, for a while at least haha.

They’re awesome cats and are gentle giants! They’re known for ‘walking away’ if they’re challenged by another cat or even dog! Our Coon Sam weighed 35lbs in his prime and was a super love bug 😊❤️

My cat is huge too. When I show my friends pictures, I’ve been asked how is he nice when he could probably kill me in my sleep. He’s the sweetest most affectionate thing in the universe, has severe separation anxiety from me (which sucks bc I’m at university) and is scared of anything that isn’t me or my house. He’s afraid of DOORBELLS AND CARGO PANTS there’s no way he could kill me in my sleep. My precious needy little bastard I love him so much.

big and fluffy cats are always very docile and got scared easily if other cats are attacking them....they are bigger for nothing...my cats are always like that whenever one of the kittens got lucky with their fluff...they always grow up to be cowards and got scared of the smaller cats
