I’ve been working out for about 2 weeks now with not really any problems. just let is rest and don’t do anything and in a couple more months it will feel good. It took me almost a year to recover bc i kept trying to force my self to keep playing b-ball and was hurting it more. Let it rest!!

  • A 10 year old video has helped me. I’m not an athlete but I was a waiter for 38 years at a really high intensity environment. Waiting to have back surgery. Looking for any type of motivation. This has provided me with a lot of information in a short video.

  • I tore my ACL and meniscus last year when I was 18 at the peak of my physical fitness while training for my competitive sport. It affected my mental health hugely especially when I was doing pre-med as well. I never got into med and I gained 10kg...you can guess how bad things had gone. I've been given the green light to play and only the last few months I've been putting in the hard yards. I'm mad fueled to get back out there but I'm struggling with the weight loss. Any tips would be great!

    • Diet , for me fasting look up the 16/8 method that helps or you can adjust hours like 20/4 if you wanna lose more, or just eat no more than 300-500 calories every other day

  • I broke my right leg in 2015......I broke my left ankle in the end of 2016......I broke my toe in 2018......I broke my thumb in 2018......I pulled a muscle in my lower back and it's taking over 10 weeks to heal. I don't know if it's a tore muscle or it's something in my spine. It's gotten better though. I can sprint,jump,jog and do physical activities but it's really sore. But in the mist of all of this I'm a middle linebacker that's averaging 17 tackle's and 2 sacks a game.

    • I'm 5 years late but I broke last year my right ankle and this year my left ankle... it sucks, two seasons in a row have to end it before it actually ends. Breaks my heart to think about it really, we're in the bronze game this year and I can't even play. Gotta be there for the team tho, I know I'm going to cry if we don't win it. Hell I might even cry if we do win it.

  • I never really had the opportunity to think too much about my injury it was never really overly discussed some of my injuries were significant but it was never a conversation about being Richard was always a conversation about getting back in playing so the focus was always about getting back to playing because you don’t wanna get caught you don’t want to be left off the team if you’re going into some kind of playoffs you don’t wanna be the guy who doesn’t get a chance to get his name on the trophy or to get a trophy

  • I fcked up my left anle 2 times in 1 month, in order to heal i needed to rest but i wanted to come back so much that i risk it and get it injured again, after that i let myself relax and just heal doing some sort of strenghten exirces for the ankle, but reading all those things on the internet i though i will never play football again after resting for 6 months i come back motivated and started streching my ankle really good and etc and everything was ok in fact my ankle now is great but the other one(right) get injured last night so another 2 months out but i wlll use those months to motivate myself and to get better at everything i see alot of those ppls here comenting after getting injured they just fck it and stop doing sports like wtf just dont rush the process and work to better yourself + after getting injured you will definetly gain some knowledge so use it bros and good luck !

  • Tore my lateral meniscus (cartilage) in my right knee on the second day of the new year 2022 in a motocross race. Haven’t had surgery because I can still walk and work and ride I just have to be cautious. And it pops often. But so does my good knee. But yes the injury gives time to think and plan for the comeback. Mind over matter

    • Same thing happened to me. I play football and i tore my lateral meniscus. I can't play football for 6months because of the surgery. Before the surgery i could still play but felt pain and decided to visit a doctor. The doctor said that i should have a surgery because otherwise when i will be older my knee will be badly damaged. It is a tough challenge mentally and i hope that after that i will be mentally and phisically stronger than before. Wish u luck with your recovery aswell

    • @@donalddonaldson7211 Thank you very much! I tore it about 3months ago. I was playing football and fell and i heared a very loud crack in my knee. I really didn't think much of it at first but then i saw my knee getting bigger and was pretty red. The worst thing was that i continued playing with that pain. Doctor told me that my knee is pretty bad and that i definetly should have a surgery. I had the surgery about 5 weeks ago. Right now i cant use that leg for walking and can start walking after 6weeks, so 1 more week to wait. The depressing part is that i can play football again in october. But mentally i am growing stronger and i will be stronger in the future. It is sad but otherwise i would be in my 30s and cant use my leg. Thank you for asking and best of luck!

    • @@lammaskaru4938 yeah you don’t want to make it hurt if you don’t have to. My knee didn’t swell up like others have told me theirs did. Luckily after five months I’m able to ride my dirt bike and go about my day without pain as long as I’m cautious. When you start moving it make sure you get your range of motion back and work on your strength In that range of motion. Best of luck. Much love

  • I’ll see you this I put a lot of different sports I wasn’t a big football guy but I played a tremendous amount of hockey high school college and play juniors up north and I think hockey players have a dismissive attitude about taking injury seriously to the point that in some cases it’s beneficial but in other cases it may lead to re-injuring that same body part or never making a full come back but I think if you interviewed a hockey player about a serious injury they never really dwelled upon it the first thought was when can I go back and play even moments after they’ve been injured you wonder how long will it take to heal

    • Kingrobert09 I don't know if I pulled or tore a muscle in my lower back. Can u please tell me what it's like? I put pressure on my lower back but it still hurts. I can sprint, jump and jog but it still really stiff. It's gotten a lot better but it hurts like hell. It's on my right side of my lower back and when I roll it with a ball, the pain will go to my butt cheek or my left side. Do u think it's a tore muscle? Or a really bad pull? It's been a little over 2 months and I still have the pain. I know u hurt a completely different muscle, but I figured you've been through the pain so u could tell me how to treat it.

    • cripin norf side I’m not a doctor, but I remember my lower back was really tight and hurt like hell because of stress going to a huge track meet I trained all year for, u also say you roll your lower back I do remember seeing around that u should never roll your lower back, when I tore my hamstring I felt a pop and it was a really sharp pain, I actually don’t remember writing this comment but I do know I don’t have problems with my hamstring it’s now my IT band, so maybe if your back hurts it could be another muscle that’s causing it idk, I’d recommend seeing a physiotherapist and chiropractor

      @guitargod63@guitargod635 жыл бұрын
    • Kingrobert09 thx. I will see a chiropractor. I don't want to loose my position in football over a muscle.

    • I had that and it was absolutely brutal, best thing I can tell you is to go show a doctor right away to see how severe it is but as long as it is a pulled muscle it should heal within a few months at the very least. I know I couldn't run or do anything intense lower body related for a good month or so. After that it took me about 6-8 months to stop feeling that the muscle had been pulled when i was working out my hamstrings. You will lose some muscle/strength and it sucks but better to heal up
