I Went Hunting Naked in the Amazon Jungle With Waorani Tribe

The Waorani people who live deep in the Amazon jungle of remote eastern Ecuador are one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in the world and they get most of what they eat by catching it from the jungle, with handmade blowguns and curare poison that they make themselves. My friends and I had the pleasure of accompanying them on one of their hunts recently and I wanted to try doing it like they do, which is to say completely naked head-to-toe. Hands down one of the craziest things I’ve ever done!
HUGE thanks to Wareka for guiding us into the jungle, you can check out his IG here: / amazonwaoraniexpeditions

From their skin to their specific muscle-tone, this isn't terrifying, painful, muscle-exhausting work for them. They are built like that through hundreds of generations, as well as simply living it every day. So, the tribe doesn't have a special amount of "resilience." • This was an amazing documentary! I have never seen anyone participating in an indigenous tribe’s activities like you have. It brings everything you show much closer. I think you deserve a prize for this!
