Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone Bloopers

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - where all the magic began! A set filled with magical creatures, incredible designs and a whole bunch of young actors made for some pretty exciting and hilarious times on the set. The crew behind the film had their work cut out for them as they not only took on their regular roles while filming, they also became semi-babysitters, working with colleagues decades younger than they were. While the talent of the young actors was obvious, they were still kids, so getting them to perform and stay focused throughout the process was a definite challenge.
Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint became Fast Friends - they even began creating songs together between takes that they would perform for the crew! Being so close also meant that they were joking around a lot which was lovely to see and definitely helped their chemistry, but it did provide quite an obstacle for director Chris Columbus. While he no doubt expected to have to work on getting kids to focus, we're not too sure he imagined he would need to really try to frighten a young Radcliffe in order to capture a spooked look. Columbus got creative with his directing, sometimes it worked and other times - well let's just say kids will be kids! Emma Watson demonstrated that she was perfectly cast as Hermione from the very beginning - the actress went ahead and memorized all the lines. Everyone knew since she was often caught mouthing along with her co-stars and ruining takes!
The actors were young and the expectations were high - but luckily the team pulled out a win with this film. Seeing how much fun they had behind the scenes only makes it better!
