  • Oh my word, I absolutely love that Alaskan Cedar, gorgeous ❤. Y'all remind me of our younger years with our children planting up the property. Our 3 children, 41, 43 & 50 now, we're watching them with their babies, carrying on the planting traditions!! Awww, memories past and present, thank y'all so much Laura, for sharing your life with us😊

  • I hope that every time you look at that hibiscus you remember transplanting it as a family. So much fun making memories with the kids. 🌺

  • I think the Limelights not planted in a perfect curve will add to it's beauty and look more natural than formal. The family replanting the Hibiscus in the Dirtlands is heartwarming. A family that plants together, stays together. And little Miss Samantha hoeing a line with purpose is taking after her Mama and Grandmothers. ❣So darn cute!

    • I was just about to post that Laura always cleans up everything and I love that about her. There are other channels that I watch and I love those channels but at the end so much of the time I wanna get a rake, a hose or a blower and go clean up the mess they’ve made.

  • Only a cat comment as everyone has certainly covered your great planting video on a glorious blue sky day especially with your gang. I absolutely love how the cats join and follow you and that you're so great with them. It truly warms my heart having lost my "3rd child" just days before COVID lock down after 17 years of joy with our beloved calico. While your feline threesome aren't house pets, they are certainly devoted to you!

  • I could swear that hibiscus was one of the first big shrubs you planted in the loop! It has turned out so hardy and really one of those kinds of plants that you just want to let grow wild - so huge and fluffy- its going to look wonderful in the dirtlands.❤

  • The hydrangea hedge looks great on video! Once they’re filled out, you won’t notice any minor imperfections. I personally prefer it not looking too perfect. That south garden has really progressed beautifully. It’s so satisfying seeing everything break dormancy and come alive in the spring.

What I didnt expect was to spot things while driving around and be able to say, oh, that is a king tut grass, oh, that is a weeping cedar tree, oh, those are bubblegum supertunias. Lol. There is a beautiful weeping cedar up the road about 5 minutes. Very close to the side of their house it seems, but gives wonderful texture and color.

  • Thank you for another great morning in your garden! ❤ I live in Zone 8a, Central Texas. I love the Evergreens you plant, but with our “Texas” heat…never cools off below 80s in summer at night…it has been a challenge to find evergreens that will survive here. I appreciate you mentioning the cold hardiness of these trees, but it would be really nice if you would also share their heat hardiness zones…Please? Thank you ❤ Thank you for sharing your beautiful family working in the garden together!

Those limelight hydrangeas will look gorgeous in a long row once they are filled in, you won’t notice anything being off . I love hibiscus and have several different colors, it will look pretty out there but needs some friends. Maybe a hedge of them in different colors would like beautiful. I would like to see you give Samanatha and Benjamin both a 6 pack of plants and take them out to the dirt lands and let them plant them with absolutely no help from parents. ??? Let them gather what they need like shovel, fertilizer etc. Let’s see how much they know and have learned from momma???????? I think that would be a awesome video to watch!! 🫶🙌👀🧑👧🌺🌸

  • The Limelight Prime hedge looks very beautiful and natural there. I know the "unevenness" bugs you even though no one would ever notice unless you pointed it out. So, I went back to the video where you planted "round 2" of the Primes, lol. Looks like when you tucked those in, the Sparkling Amethyst Superbena where robustly growing in that area. Plus, the blooms from the other Limelight Primes where down on the ground due to the rain. Mystery solved! Again, the hedge looks amazing 🤩
