OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH that makes sense
Yes
Woah I just grained brain cells
Like an immortal powerful being
I always thought the creepers were made by ancient players to serve as terraformers. I mean luring a creeper to a hill and detonating it is one of the easiest ways to clear land. The fact that iron golems don’t attack them also ties into this because players wouldn’t instruct their guards to kill a valuable mining machine, the same way you wouldn’t instruct a tank to shoot an excavator
I think if they did, they only improved or manipulated it, not making it from scratch. If they really built it as a tool, they wouldn't have made it try to stand so close to them before exploding. And no, they can't be malfunctioning. There are too many of them for that to be true.
Fun fact that you can put a beacon in a desert temple. And a beacon can be crafted from a nether star.
@@noahgamer6510fun fact, shut up 12 year old
Nah i think it would be like old minecraft where they would be just lit up by flint and steel
Why would they do this if they already had access to TNT, a much safer and less expensive alternative to living bombs?
String is more used like hair in the minecraft world. Upon killing a strider, they drop string because they have wispy hair. With cats, them dropping string as a gift or as their loot could represent a hairball or whiskers. String is also able to be turned into wool blocks, which wool is sheep hair. Thus string as loot in the same chest as rotten flesh and bones most likely also represents hair.
I was guessing bandages, following the mummy analogue. And that cats just like playing with string, so it can sometimes be found on them. Imagine a children's game allowing to murder a cat and use it's whiskers as raw material...
@@ooi97 mm, paper would have been better if they wanted to convey bandages because it looks similar. Though I guess mummy wraps are linen, and that’s made out of woven fibers, so you could be correct For the cat thing, there are many other questionable mob drops that don’t seem appropriate for a kids’ game, such as turtles dropping a bowl when struck by lightning or even just cows dropping leather. You don’t even need to tan it before using it. You just take their raw skin and make armor out of it!

I am still surprise that MatPat never mention that a fully active Beacon can fit perfectly in the top of a Desert Temple, which imply that the temples might've been built with a beacon in mind (which does hurt his Wither theory a little bit as it also imply that the builders knew how to get a Nether Star to some degree).

Something i just remembered regarding the cat connection to ancient Egypt is that in earlier versions cats were just tamed Ocelots, Which are essentially the kind of cats that domesticated the ancient Egyptians. Only after more development they added cats and made them separate from Ocelots which coincidentally further tells the real world story of cats domesticating/enslaving humans.
This falls apart in a couple of places: creepers and ocelots are natural enemies, and cats used to be tamed ocelots before they were introduced in villages. Hence the fear of cats. The Mojang team actually wanted the eye of Horus on the temple but couldn't make it work that small, so the Ankh was 2nd choice. The string in chests along with the flesh, bones and gunpowder are the drops of the OG mobs: spider, skeleton, zombie and creeper. Didn't know about tnt inside the creeper. That does suggest they're man-made. But that's honestly the only clue along with the creeper face in chiseled sandstone. This man must do a lot of yoga to stretch this far.

I love game theory, ive been watching it for two years. And it never disappoint
So, there’s a couple things I’d like to point out. 1. Creepers are not the only mob afraid of cats. Phantoms are as well. 2. The only thing a creeper attacks is the player, unless a skeleton shoots it or something. 3. Cats also hiss, like creepers I used to think creepers were blind. When a cat hisses, the creeper is scared because it thinks it’s another creeper, as it can’t see that it is indeed a cat.
Actually, I’m pretty sure Creepers stay on target, even if they’re short by Skeletons
yo why the ender dragon going 🐔______ | | 4:27
@@yoshithebear7630 that's true, creepers dont intentionally blow up other mobs even if attacked
That’s a really interesting perspective
I think it’s because cats are mythically travel different worlds and ward off things that could cause damage. Look at the Ancient Egyptian god Bast (unsure spelling) a cat god who protected Amun-Ra, the sun god, through the underworld. Cats are still used to ward off nightmares. (Explanations the phantoms running away they’re waking nightmares) So creepers running away my because of that.
The fact that the cat in the woodland mansion has the same position of the Great Sphinx of Giza makes your theory more credible.
I thought so too. You are a true theorist, Anes Temzini :)

@Cadeboy13You are absolutely right, my friend :)
I think the connection with the chicken statues in the woodland mansions are because eggs are symbolic of rebirth and have a connection to the ancient Sumerian goddess of fertility, war, and love--Ishtar. Ishtar also has a connection to death, disaster (landborn plague or worldwide flood if we're going with a minecraft lore), fire quenching (Nether reference perhaps)...and temples.
The artificial creeper theory has to be correct and I have a theory of why the ancient builders did it. They may have wanted better security than a booby trap that destroys the valuables it's protecting when triggered, so they probably designed the creeper to be an extra set of protection but they managed to escape the deserts and explore the world. This means that for the builders the creepers ignored them but they attack us because they view us as hostile since they haven't been explicitly told that we are safe.

In all three timelines, the builders attempted to create something that surpasses the force of life and death. 1. Hardcore: failure, as Steve only has one life. 2. after watching all these theory videos about gaining eternal life, i had a thought: someone succeeded. you play a character who is already an adult, never ages, and revives to where ever they last woke up at (which btw included world spawn) whenever and always after you die, no matter the dimension, or the cause
Also, how about stacking 2 CACTUSES and putting a jack o lantern on it to create a creeper? That would explain their green bodies.
If the chests in temples store human remains like the Egyptians, that would explain the riches like diamonds and gold also found in the chests, as Ancient Egyptians were known to bury people of high stature with jewelry (and even food, like the golden apples.) idk I thought it was interesting and helps further this theory
So we are robbing tombs now
@@omerfarukerol9079 well they don’t need it anymore I’m perfectly fine with it
@@ataeaproductions3390 i even used the bones and flesh 💀
@@omerfarukerol9079 nice gotta make sure it doesn’t go to waste
and some desert temples appear with notch apples maybe they knew how to craft them
Matpat: Its a symbol of life and this means something Jeb: We just thought it looked cool
Thats what they want you to think
That's exactly what I thought
It doesn’t even look like that symbol
I always thought the string was supposed to be like cobwebs because the place is so old
The problem with that is that cobwebs are a separate item
@@notyourdaughter666 that doesn't change the fact that having string in the chests representing cobwebs is a lot less obvious than just putting cobwebs in
I love your jokes they are amazing keep being amazing
I'd like to add about of your theory, the looting dead bodies part. Normally, some people used to have there coffin next to there possessions, so that would explain the horse armor, gold, and other "loot"
Yeah
I'm surprised he didn't talk about God Apples, they give the same effects as the Totem of Undying if I remember correctly
Oh god. Horse armour. Flesh and bones. Some of them were buried with their most trusty steed, rotting away over the years till their diamond-crested armour was all that remained

@@luchiirodriguez279 God apples give Absorption 4 Regeneration 3 Fire resistance Resistance 1 Totem of Undying gives Absorption 2 Regeneration 2 Fire resistance They are very similar, almost as if someone was trying to recreate the god apples
Everyone in Minecraft: *trying to find infinite life* The player: "Haha respawn go brrr"
I think the player is the ancient civilisation's creation or some kind of successful run
@@arafe.1012 The builders created the immortal player just before disappearing and the zombies are the result of illigers trying to recreate the player.
That's why our player exists to begin with and isnt dead yet, we are immortal
Wait you might actually be on to something ! What if the player characters are the final creation of the ancient race, finally succeeding in their mission ?
