  • 28:38 here we can see that canelo fell for bivol's right hand feint and twisted his head in reaction. But then gets frustrated because of the fact that he fell for it. He was clearly outboxed and didn't know what to do with bivol's speed, power, and durability.

  • Sad that not enough attention is being put on the judging of the fight. Too many folks are saying the judges got it right. But, they didn't. They got it horribly wrong. According to the judges, Bivol had to win 7 of the last 8 rounds to win a fight that everyone outside of Canelo's camp admits he dominated. No way Canelo won the first 4 rounds on every judges scorecards. The reason this kind of stuff keeps happening is because there's not enough outrage by media pundits and the actual fighters.

The amount of combinations he was throwing off the ropes when countering Canelo was amazing, yet they only show a little bit in the final round. Clearly DAZN and Matchroom don't want to show what truly happened to their "Super Star" 🤣

    • I rewatched the fight on KZhead from a single perspective of a guy recording in the crowd. It's really good quality and its even clearer how soundly Bivol won on the rewatch. That being said, watching the fight from a single angle with no cuts made it way easier to see how many shots were actually connecting and to be fair to Canelo he was actually managing to dodge, divert or catch on the guard a lot more than I thought he did when I first saw the fight. But regardless Bivol still landed far more shots, had ring control more, and controlled the entire tempo of the fight. The thing that stood out the most on the rewatch was how amazing Bivol's jab is. It's so versatile and his fight with Canelo was basically a clinc on how to use the jab.

I ain't got doubt in my mind when he watches the fight back he'll know for sure why and how he lost. Bivol really did stunt on his ass hard though so you'd assume he'd atleast have an inkling that Mayne he didnt have the win that night.

    • If you listened to press conference before fight on Wednesday, Bivol has a management team. Pretty sure he's leaving if Hearns doesn't give him top billing/top pay. I don't see a re-match as much as Hearns wants it in Sept. Bivol calls the shots now.

  • Bivol will make even more of an example of Canelo should they have a rematch. Far too dominant against someone who normally dominates the ring , he was always in control and never looked flustered. Canelo was soundly beaten but am sure he will acknowledge that watching the replay.

    @tgrw4811@tgrw48112 жыл бұрын
    • Stylistic wise Bivol will not change anything. He will just be more aggressive in the rematch. While Canelo will certainly change drastically cus he's the one who made lots of mistakes diet wise(vegan) and strength and conditioning wise. But I'm not sure if it will be enough to beat Bivol.

    • He moved to a weight class where 5’8 men don’t belong. Canelo doesn’t belong at light heavyweight that’s it, Canelo is still a great fighter he was just at the wrong weight class, although I don’t believe he should stay at light heavyweight, I believe he can win the rematch because canelo is great at making adjustments and we saw that in the second GGG fight.
