Hillary Clinton on Being 'Emotionally Drained' After Talking Monica Lewinsky Scandal for Docuseries

Former First Lady Hillary Clinton talked with Ellen about her Hulu documentary "Hillary," and how it was "emotionally draining" to relive the Monica Lewinsky scandal for the new docuseries.
Mrs. Clinton shared that she hopes her willingness to address difficult times in her own life will encourage others to be more supportive of people who have to make tough decisions that are best for themselves. She also responded to the President's impeachment acquittal, and revealed that she twice turned down former President Barack Obama's offer of the position of Secretary of State.

    • Obviously she prefers that we forget the "Chinagate" scandal when Bill was president. Now that was a genuine national security risk when the Chinese communist government gain access to the latest advances in our defense technology through contributors to Clinton's 1996 campaign. With his indicted *national SECURITY* adviser, his UNSECURED cellphone, spilling secrets to Russians in the Oval Office, giving security clearances to people like Kushner, Ivanka, etc, who are susceptible to foreign influence, because of their business dealings with foreign powers, 130 people who shouldn't even have a security clearance because of conflicts of interest, foreign dealings and the like..   • I have to say, I have the deepest respect for Hillary Clinton. I do believe she has been unfairly judged for being a woman, for being a strong woman, for standing by her cheating husband (hey, her decision to make...no one else’s) and for showing she can compete with men at the highest level (as a presidential candidate, as First Lady and Bill Clinton’s confidant, as Secretary of State, etc, etc).   • I think regardless of your political preference, we can agree that she is a pleasant and even intelligent woman. Before she is a Democrat, before she is a Liberal-she’s just that, a woman, a person, like all of us. We’re more than what political party we’re affiliated with, and I think we should take a moment to just approach matters not from a “Democrat” or “Republican”, “Liberal” or “Conservative,” but from a “Common Sense” perspective. We’re all human, and we’re all here together.
