Cat Kidney Disease Treatment To Improve Kidney Function | Chronic Kidney Disease Cats
Kidney disease and failure in cats are very common and can be caused by a number of conditions. I ordered the 3 feline kidney products.. I had a cat who passed from kidney disease. He was diagnosed when he was 10 and died from it 6 years later. Back in those days there were no known kidney supplements. Now I have 4 cats, 2 are 14.5 yrs old. One of them is sick with kidney infection. The vet bill yesterday was $1300+. She seems to be feeling better but is still sick. I’m supposed to give her Clavamox for the next 10 days. I also bought probiotics for her. Any other suggestions as to how to ease her pain during urination until she heals would be greatly appreciated.

I have drops that lower the ph of tap water but there’s no way to change what comes out of the tap. I bought Cat water a long time ago. Wonder if it's the same thing. I seem to remember it was flavored.

According to many, many other vets I;ve talked to and seen vids of, cats should NEVER eat dry food. Including kittens.
Yes, but when people feed their cats their whole lives dry food. They will not switch, so we have to work with what we have.

That’s like saying people have been using OxyContin for pain and that’s all they want to use so we have to meet people where they are and give them OxyContin, lol. A vet tried to give my cat dry kibble as a treat during vaccination and my cat looked at it like “what even is this dirt?” What cat won’t devour delicious meat or salmon?
@@honeyrococo I wish it was that easy. Would make life less stressful for pet owners. Unfortunately, you haven't spoken to the 10,000 pet owners, vets and pet stores. Some cats will not change no matter what you do. Pavlov's classical conditioning in effect.
@@honeyrococo my cats are all different. One love raw food so much I have no problem giving it to him, while the others are not so much. I keep introducing it, however. Sometime I smear a little in their mouth so they at least they know the taste. But I don't think there are a lot of people have that kind of patience. Transitioning to cooked/raw can take weeks, even months.

Someone shared this video with me yesterday hours AFTER I had to put my cat Samson to sleep because of 4th Stage Kidney failure. He could barely move. I wish I knew about this product weeks sooner. I suspect phosphorus may be the issue for us. My boy is only a year and a half. Started noticing issues after he was fixed at a spay/neuter clinic. We are on well water, which I need to test but in looking up reports in the area iron and phosphorus is high. Is a binder enough? Is high iron a problem too?

Hello, My cat’s name is Christy, and she’s not even 3. She has chronic kidney disease, with her renal pelvic area of the kidney being full of stones and crystals. She’s still using the litter box, albeit with just urinary results. She’s on purina pro plan early care kidney function, but our vet said that with her crystals and stones, she could go into renal failure at any time. Technically, she’s in stage 2 of the CKD. Would homeopathic treatment be good for her? We already got rid of the dry food. What’s your call on this, Doc? Based on the info I gave you?
One thing I forgot to mention, is that she was on an opioid for pain during her visit to the vet, but that was only once. She should start pooping soon, I would think.

My cat is drooling. Meows a lot all day like shes in pain vomits occasionally drinks a lot of water and doesnt always use the litter box. Shes 12 and is Himalayan. Her tongue hangs out. Could have dental disease. Her coat isnt always kempt but did groom her Its affecting my sleep her meowing all the time. Does she have kidney disease?
Sounds like she does. A vet will tell you for sure. They can test the blood for levels. Take her in as soon as possible.
My cat was drooling too. And hiding. Turns out she had terrible teeth problems and had to have some pulled. Drooling is one of the 1st signs of tooth problems.

Hi! I just found out my two cats who are only 2.5 years old (they are biological siblings) have elevated SDMA levels. One more so than the other. They already get organic canned wet food with multivitamin and probiotics but i know i need to do something more. Their urine tested good according to the vet. Is it safe for me to give them your kidney restore supplement? Should i transfer to renal wet food now or wait two months and retest to see? Im worried about the ingredients in these commercial renal foods.... I understand its low protein and phosphorus but what i was already giving them seems to have less phosphorus than some of these renal brands. Im so confused. Sounds as if he might have had a urinary tract infection? If they can’t pass urine, they sleep on the cat litter. Cats hide being sick for a long time , so , when one sees they’re ill, it’s very important to get to a vet immediately. I am so sorry you lost him😢 Sometimes one just can’t help in time.
Shoot me please ,the worst you can do ,feed commercial or rx cat food from the vet. I cant believe even dry food is mentioned here. Feed raw with a lot of moisture content
Raw/homemade/wet is best, but majority of people will never do it. They won't even consider it. Therefore, we have to work within peoples means.

My vet shot me down so fast. And not even with just raw but cooked too. But the cat food is trash!!!! I'm getting so beyond frustrated.
