Notice that he's using British football terms and not American sports ones. Humble guy.
He created without question the most successful expansion team in NHL history. I’m sure he’ll do the same at Bournemouth.
1st thing I noticed 💯
The difference between him and Todd Boehly is insane
Yeah, he said he's not an arrogant american who wants to change everything. A clear swipe at Todd boehly and Tom Brady
@harrymills Millwall American owner is excellent, hes put a lot of money into the club. Only FSG, Glazers and Boehly are bad Yank owners
@@DaveSeville-sf1kuFSG bad owners 🤣 deluded
Maybe...but compare him to the shower that own Man Utd...chalk and cheese!
Fym? Todd is way better than glazers
Love an owner that cares 👏
The Glazer family could learn a thing or two from this fella. Good luck to him and Bournemouth
as a American united fan 😔
What a great sounding owner!
As a Bournemouth fan I am super happy to have him a the owner! Slowly improving every area of the club!
Can’t help but like the guy, he’s fully invested In That club
Having an ownership model that actually want to invest in the whole infrastructure of the club is an amazing thing, and looking at Bournemouth from afar I think they’ve got themselves top drawer owners?
As a long time American Bournemouth fan (yeah I'm different) he is absolutely a great owner and any club that he went and bought would without question get better and move up a rung or two.
This owner is good. He has ambition beyond making big bucks. Good for the club.
I saw the Las Vegas Golden Knights go from their entry entry draft to lifting the cup. One thing this man is great at is recruiting the right people. The stanley cup is the hardest trophy in the US to win across all team sports. This guy did it within the teams first 6 years and even went to the final the first year. As a Liverpool supporter I can admit I believe good things are ahead for Bournemouths.
Smart guy, humble, honest and realistic. Sense of humour too...
This guy is a breath of fresh air. A wonderful football fan and owner. Good luck to him and Bournemouth
Fantastic for Bournemouth and the wider area. Grow bit by bit, great philosophy!
As a Brighton fan it’s good this fella seems to be doing the right things, building stability in the correct way
I think a lot people involved with the club see Brighton as the blueprint (probably rest of the league as well tbf). You guys are turning water into wine over there! With any luck the cherries can come close to that with the investment and new infrastructure they're putting in place ⬆🍒
@@dannyb016 It refreshing to see. We are incredibly lucky to have Tony Bloom as our owner, other fans (top six plastics) don't understand why we regard stability and running the our club without risking it's future more important then trophies. As a cherries fan you know where we are coming from. Up the Albion 🙂
Bournemouth fan here. The first cherries game I watched at Dean Court was against Peterborough in 2004 and we lost 1-0. Everything that has happened since then has been the most incredible journey from League 2 all the way to the Premiership. Shout out to Brett Pitman, saw him score a 16-minute hat-trick against Peterborough in 2010!
Hate watching away games at vitality stadium on TV since the camera angles are very annoying
Same plan as his last project... Well, that's confidence for you. I always say if it works, then don't change it. Keep that practice going. I'm not even a Bournemouth fan, but I'm excited for them. Go Bournemouth, you've got a great leader in your club. Even Birmingham City is doing it. American investors are fantastic at business.❤
My home team on the up and up Improved that area already
I like Bill Foley's awe-inspiring work in a short space of time.
Good luck to Bournemouth for the future , impressive owner doing everything positively
coming along nicely x
bournemouth bill keep up the good work from a bournemouth lover
Considering Everton got the points deduction for the stadium build with 3 times the crowd Bournemouth have, how are they going to get around FSR ?
Wow he is so well spoken and inspirational. Bournemouth will go a long way with him in charge
Seems like a good owner.
Love how his community talk isnt just lip service. I work mental health in Dorset, near bournemouth, the club have such an elite reputation in helping community.
BREAKING: AFC Bournemouth given a -20 point deduction for trying to improve themselves
Infrastructure spend so stadium, training facilities, women’s & youth teams & community programmes are all excluded from FFP/PSR. Not sure why so many people/ex-pro’s dont understand this.
@@davidclerihew3539 probably want to read the "Everton Stadium Costs 'Could Lead to Third Points Deduction'" article next...
@@davidclerihew3539that rule mustn’t have applied 7 months ago
Nice one @evertonfl3291
Nah Everton cheating and spending beyond their means then crying about it lmao
Lucky Bournemouth!!! What a great owner. From a jealous Reading Fan….😢
Wow what a great owner
115 reasons for them to build into a top 6 side in the future.
Beautiful and brilliant ❤
Bill Foley did an amazing job with the Golden Nights NHL hockey team...The fans in Las Vegas are insanely passionate and they won the Stanley Cup in record time.
He created without a doubt the most successful expansion team in NHL history. Will do great things at Bournemouth.
Great interview and Foley seems like a thoroughly decent man
Seems like a genuine guy 👍👍👍👍
Sounds like a wise and clearly successful man
What a nice chap! 👍🏻
It’s such exciting times being an AFCB supporter, Bill Foley is an excellent owner and delivers what he says! We also have Andoni Iraola as manager, he is also excellent, very smart and articulate and makes substitutions at the right times not 2 minutes before the end of a game….Shame to lose Richard Hughes though…..
We still need a 25K seater stadium and rename it Dean Court
it'll always be Dean Court
If you struggle to regularly fill a 12k stadium in the top flight, you definitely don't need one that's twice the size, unless more supporters can magically be found somewhere.
Identify with Dorset making a bigger catchment area pulling in more fans from all around the county and beyond, being in the top flight is the magnet
@@raymondsawyer8626 the problem with Dorset as a whole is it seems to consist mainly of people in the last years of life. I go to Christchurch and Bournemouth sometimes and the age demographic is immediately noticeable just from driving through there. I hear it a lot and know people who've said 'well we're selling up and moving to Dorset to retire'. They're not really the sort of people who will want to be out on a cold wet evening watching football. The challenge will be finding enough of the the younger generations.
@@mk1aquatic739 Bournemouth a lot bigger then you think
great for bournemouth
Fair dues
Boscombe fc are going up in the world 👍
Fair play bill foley great for a small club like bournemouth
Exciting times for AFCB , UTCIAD 🍒⚽️👊
Anything like a lambeau field in PL or small town feel? I ask as The Cherries seem to be leaving their original home
i wont be surprised if some premier league games will be held in the US in the future like the way nfl games are played in london
That's what most owners have lost being part of the community this guy is right fit for Bournemouth.
After seeing their performance this season. Well deserved! As opposed to Everton who do not deserve their new stadium.
Good luck Bournemouth.
Look at us at Chelsea, American sports never transfers well!
I wish Newcastle owners would do this.
they literally did....
@@Tony_codes They did nothing of the sort. They threw a few million quid at the old Benton Road training ground, which is still a completely unfit facility for a club with aspirations of being a top club. They need to build a purpose built training complex ASAP.
@@Thaitanium73 Might also need to do something with the stadium also.
Jordan’s with a suit is crazy
This guy seems like a good one. Back him Bournemouth fans even in times that don’t go so well.
Seems a good owner
I say this with no glee. But he has to have a plan for Bournemouth to be spending more time in the Championship than the premier. They will have their moments in the PL like a lot of clubs. If you unearth great players or a coaching staff the vultures will come. And nothing a great town, great area, great stadium, great owner or facilities can do about it. But there is no reason why championship clubs can’t have state of the art facilities. The players deserve it and the fans. This is how it should be and fair play to Bournemouth FC and this chap.
He has no intention of going backwards but whatever happens in the future the infrastructure will be in place to maintain a higher level than most of the clubs existence. For reference it's AFC Bournemouth. Bournemouth FC is a club in its own right.
American liverpool fan here , love the humbleness of this man , unlike boehly 😂
How long until they get a points deduction too?
when bournemouth starts kicking it like brighton and all of a sudden liverpool academy stars keep spawning at bournemouth. no matter what, i'll be there!
Top guy
What happened to Leicester after they build a new, state-of-the-art training ground
Bournemouth cooking up… finishing 5th place next season!
Bournemouth will be in top Six one day.
Cherry on top
It's almost like their shoes are in a will they won't they relationship ✨
I tip my hat to you, Mr Foley🎉
Next step is a 20k Stadium.
Seems a strange choice of club to develop when Southampton has bigger support, even Portsmouth.Bmouth never goin to be more than mid table at best
should have spent the money on a new stadium fit for the premier league
I remember peeing up against brick wall in old stadium now Bournemouth are on the rise for the future generations this a fairy tale for the cherries 🍒
Hopefully the same for Auckland FC
This guy will improve Hibernian also.
The feeling that Bournemouth is going to have more modern and better training facility than Arsenal or United Lmaoo
No they won't dream on
@@benwatkins6513 bruh bouth Arsenal and United have training grounds from 1999 🤣
@@sajmon8857 who told you the facilities are bad at united at Carrington? Your gay lover Ronaldo ? It's not even bad atall it's over exaggerated, just because someone has new training facilities doesn't make it better does it ? Anything new may look better but there stadium is shite so makes no difference
@@benwatkins6513 A lot of new players that come says that even the pool is in bad condition also Man Utd owners look forward to move away and build new one sooo it means more alos training facility that was build in 1999 cant be compared with one build in 2020/24 ;) its older and not modern at all thats the true.
@@sajmon8857 mate you clearly just hate United or Liverpool and stop liking your own comments
They need a new stadium let alone a new training ground lol but good on them
It’s going to be difficult with a town of that size to develop.

Can u buy Boscombe town centre
can't wait to see how many points the prem is going to take from them after breaking 'financial sustainability rules'
prices about to go sky hiiiiiiiiiiiigh
Difference between him and Boehly and Eghbali is that they have more money this guy has brain. One clearly says they are here to learn be part of the community and not the arrogant American not wanting to change everything and the other one from the beginning tried to be a dick, disrespecting every existing thing that was the reason for Chelsea's success while having no brain. Kudos to Bournemouth's owner.
Just a warning, Spurs have got incredible training facilities and they have won the grand total of diddly squat.
Admire this but if he had big ambitions he really should’ve bought a bigger club. Bournemouth have a small stadium, fanbase in general, limited infrastructure. Much bigger clubs in the championship he could’ve bought and threw a few quid at that would have more chance of PL sustainability.
Good on him, but it wont be the best training ground in the league, man city and tottenham av
bournemouth afc training ground
Decent training facilities national league standard stadium makes sense
Sky blue army 💙💙💙💙
Why don't they spend some on a stadium?
The population of the town is tiny.
They need to move the training ground next to the stadium to this site, so they can then build the new stadium on the old training ground.
@@SamsRussianAdventures it was 402k in 2022 Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are in council so not that small
It will be better than there ground lol
As a Canadian who’s a Manchester United supporter I can tel you American owners are trash (Glazers) BUT I can tell you that if you wanted ONE guy it’s Foley… He’s all about the “built it up to last” type guy. He’s won a Stanley Cup with Vegas Golden Knights and has built an great “academy” team in the Henderson Silver Knights. Bill Foley went to West Point (a U.S. Army Military academy) so he knows how to built something with structure and toughness… as a United fan I wish he would have bought United.
Todd Boehly and his partners came into Chelsea and decided to implement drastic changes within a short period of time. Talking about arrogance. Fans love owners that respect club history and culture and implement incremental changes gradually.
Should’ve made the ground bigger
Gonna be 18k no?
you would be better investing all this money into hibs
Well done to him….
Auckland FC
Football nice
Foley has more chance of success and Europe with scottish team Hibernian.
depends how you judge success I guess?
I wish this guy was Chelsea's owner
The big problem for US owners who own a major league sports franchise like The Golden Knights is that if they fail in the NHL the sit at the bottom of the league and usually get the first round picks in the following years draft which gives them a boost the following season and that repeats over and over. Whereas we all know finish bottom everywhere else - you get relegated and have to start at the bottom again...Good luck Cherries
Better than tod boehly
The ground is a joke, surely a ground that allows more than 800 away fans and hold more than 11000 should surely be the priority, that stadium is league two standard not premier league
That's the next item on the agenda, new ground will be built on the existing training ground once the one in this video is completed.
The town is tiny
ARE WE WATCHING A RISING CLUB????? IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS.
British football is completely destroying European football. I hope we get that Super League quickly so we get big matches every weekend and not all the best players move to the PL. I rather see a great European competition than what we have now.
How is it destroying it?
