    • Kings have to sign 11 players for 22M; Mtl has 20.5M in cap space and only need to sign 4 lmao.... 4 ppl to fill out the 4th line... The Kings have 7 forwards, 5 defense and 0 goalies signed for next year. The Kings very much are in cap trouble. Any starting goalie is going to cost 3-4M even for a crap one. Turcotte, Thomas, Lizotte, Kalliyev, and Spence are all getting raises to over 1M+, all are RFA's, this means arbitration. Mtl won't sign Byfield to an offer sheet, but a trade could be possible. Harris, Ferrell, wpg First and possibly a 2nd/or 3rd rd pick. Kings won't get full value for Byfield in a situation like this. This is similar value as the Kirby Dach trade

Why would anyone go to LA right now, more people are moving out of California than any other states due to their wokeness, weird taxes , violence , poverty and how pedophilia is frowned upon but isn’t a felony LA is a dump with fans that jumps on and off the wagon depending on how the team is doing

  • Yeah, Kings fan here. At 9.5 I’d be angry at Montreal but match it. The salary cap is going up, Kopitar’s salary is going down a few million, Roy is probably leaving. If they let Arvy go, they can make Byfield the 1B line center and bump PLD with Byfield. Then move Danault to the 3rd line. By the time half of that contract is up, Byfield would be a gigantic discount. (Especially when in 2 years Kopitar takes another likely pay cut) It would take more than 9.5 million. And I’d offer sheet Montreal in a few years when they are pushing against the cap. (Which both will happen)

  • Kopitar is going to make $3 million less in the next two years because his extension was only worth $7 million a year from his original $10 million. That will definitely help and make its way into Byfield's pockets. I do see LA not re-signing Arvidsson which frees up another $4.25 million as well. My concern is being able to re-sign Matt Roy because he is criminally underrated. Jordan Spence may get a 1-year bridge deal. I just want my Kings to keep Byfield and Roy. I don't see Arvidsson, Lizotte, Lewis and Kaliyev coming back. Also, with Akil Thomas now starting to make his mark, could he be given an offer ?

They probably sign Turcotte, Thomas, Fagemo, Madden & Spence, & probably Talbot again then see which youngsters from Ontario can compete & crack the lineup... Salary Cap is gonna go up... Clarke is gonna be in the lineup next year, time to put those youngsters to work now that the veterans are all locked up for a couple of years at least...
