    • I completely agree with you. The CGI in the original Sam Raimi Spiderman Trilogy still stands as some of the best in movie history. They really did get it right the first time around when they made these films. I also think that the Raimi Spiderman costume is still the best out of the three. Although I do really like the Homecoming suit.

      @archangel5627@archangel56273 жыл бұрын
    • @@archangel5627 for sure. What they achieved with Doc Ock’s tentacles remains ahead of its time and looked just amazing. Knowing when to use practical and when to use CGI. That balance did those films so well. The Raimi suit also remains the greatest suit. I do like the first Stark suit he gets in Homecoming, when it isn’t caked in CGI. The scene where Tom first puts it on in the alleyway and uses the vacuum fit function, it looked AMAZING. It’s just a shame it looks so bad in a lot of other scenes. I sincerely hope NWH uses as much practical as they can rather than just cutting corners.

      @endertobias1908@endertobias19083 жыл бұрын
    • @@endertobias1908 Thats very true. Because of Sam Raimi’s background in film making, he’s always been a firm believer in using practical effects whenever possible. A great example of that is Doctor Octopus from Spiderman 2. They used real life mechanical tendrils that were controlled by puppeteers whenever they filmed close up shots of Doc Ock. Obviously they couldn’t do that for a lot of the action sequences but the puppeteered tendrils definitely added a sense of realism when ever Doc Ock was on screen. I just love how Sam Raimi blended the use of both practical effects with the CGI effects. Like we stated before, this is one of the big reasons as to why the original Raimi Spiderman Trilogy still stands the test of time today. Personally I think a lot of people are tired of seeing movies that are almost entirely comprised of CGI. There’s been a big push to go back and use more practical effects whenever possible in film making. I’m super happy to have read that. The other great thing about practical effects is that it adds a whole other level of flair to the movie which most audiences notice and appreciate.

  • I love the physics and realism they put into the swinging. What I don't like about the MCU swinging is how they don't show the perspective of the people. Like when Spiderman is swinging with MJ or after he saves aunt May and swings away, it makes him feel like a flying legend to the people of NY to look up to. Coupled with the perfect themes by Elfmann and Young, the swinging is perfection. Not to mention, how they show Peters change in style. Like in Spiderman, it's very sloppy, but towards the end of the film, he's very fluid and confident. Then in Spiderman 2 and 3, he is precise and quick, and once he gets the black suit, he is confident and strong. Like he swings super close to the ground, knowing he's not gonna touch it or the way he just leaps straight to the ground. It's so amazing. This is the perfect Spiderman.

    @Chosen_one_501@Chosen_one_5012 жыл бұрын
    • I was just thinking that! No other Spider-Man movies puts the camera where an actual person would be filming as a civilian when seeing Spider-Man swinging and it looked hella dope. They get ground level shots, but like you said. There no person to scale it too, so you're only focused on the small figure. Its really a shame that they didn't do swinging scenes in Homecoming. While it made sense, as he always shows he isn't used to swinging with grace off of skyscrapers, it's a big miss opportunity as Vulture can fly. To me, they still had great scenes when he'd parkour around sloppily; showing him still being a novice. In the TASM movie he had one practice run than bam he's a damn pro. Weird but dig it. I wish we got to see more swinging scenes but in FFH, Civil War, IW, and NWH they had good web slinging action where the camera really followed his movements well, so that's a nice plus.

  • There are two reasons why I love these movies: 1. They are very sincere and are not afraid to be so, they feel confident enough in what they are portraying and don't need to play off every serious moment as a post-ironic or sarcastic gag. 2. They fully embrace the source material with all of the comic book goofy and silly stuff and are unashamed to do so, without ever resorting to some snarky self-aware commentary about how dumb comic books are in their logic, they also don't try to be "realistic" or gritty. These movies are great for a whole family.

The orange glow and triumphant elfman theme makes the scene from 2 an amazing send off, but a light blue tint and some more chill music in 3 makes a whole diffrent vibe. It amazing what they could do with a few minor tweaks. Bravo 👏

    • Spider man isn't like this in comics. Spider man is funny in suit, talks too much and crack jokes and off course loves to swing. It doesn't matter how hard you like Tobey but this version lacks in these points, where Andrew's SPIDER-MAN does it perfect. For eg. In TASM 2 he was depressed almost in whole movie, but he was still enjoying swings, beco'z it's what spiderman always does ( Don't count the fact that story sucked). But of you are talking about Peter Parker, then yes that goes to Tobey ( And I started with Tobey, and love those movies, but deny this fact)
