Guys like Mike Brown or Forrest Griffin aren't special, they're albeit determined guys with no power, no athleticism and no speed (when I say "no" I mean average)

    • Artem T-rex arms Lobov I’m not saying his power is overrated, but for Dana White to say “he hits like a truck” isn’t exactly accurate. Yes, he hits very hard, obviously. But he didn’t knock Aldo out, or drop Alvarez with just brute force punches. He had to land his punches precisely to finish those guys. A guy with true power (ex. Woodley) doesn’t need to hit you perfectly on the chin to KO you.

    • Andrew Tavey GSP is the perfect example of no ufc fighter should ever rely on fighting as their only source of income. If a guy as nice as GSP can be as loaded as he is, surely anybody else in the UFC could be as well. They're just not good with money, probably the reason a lot of them become fighters like Conor.

      @bushisback112@bushisback1126 жыл бұрын
    • Everyone once in awhile a fighter comes along that has the personality and the charisma to make it work. Muhammad Ali and Connor mcgregor both have that aspect about them and they can back it up in the fight. But even then Conor hasn't imitated Ali he's got a persona of his own that works. Some people just got that and trying to imitate it doesn't work. I like the show, and seeing Conor do his thing with the mic is just as fun as seeing what he does with his fists but he's a natural at it. It's really transparent when other people try to do it when it doesn't come naturally to them.

  • Yoel could literally dislocate my arms and cave my head in before I hit the ground yet he exudes humility. Kendrick Lamar, this man knows what the word really means. He has reason to be angrier and meaner than anybody given his upbringing, yet, he comes across as a guy you want to babysit your kids AND defend you from ninja assassins. I feel better about humanity, temporarily. Thanks again Joe!

    • Also, Yoel and Joey should do an odd couple flick together. Think Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in Twins. Might be a little soon for Yoel but give it a couple years. This idea could make a lot of people rich.
