  • I saw Sam's show in Hackney/London last November. It was a great experience. He even spent some time after the show to meet and talk with everyone. When I told him I was a Patron from Canada, he went over to Kosmo, pulled out a patch cable and gave it to me as a token of appreciation. I hope you didn't need that one, Sam!

  • Consider adding both a camera and audio recording setup so you have a proper record of your shows. You could release/sell a live album that way.

  • For the "cant hear the audience" problem you can try to add 1-x mics pointed at the audience. This is common for musicians that use in ear monitoring so that they get exactly that feedback. I'm more of a lighting guy so I have no deeper insights but I hope you are able to locate more info on that topic. Edit: of course this will only be added to your headphones and not to the PA.

  • You should build a full size mixing desk (16 channels+) with capacity of synth levels, send and returns, long faders it would ramp up the quality of the show, like you dutch friend you visited, like everyone. the Swiss "Struder 961 mixer" schematic should serve as base, contains FET audio switches with fade in/out (capacitors), very cool. You never seen that many FET's in one schematic. Doepfer voltage switch A-150, allows you to cut and paste wave forms via PWM synced to the VCO, increasing the sonic capabilities by far! That's how the "Make Noise STO" vco works and it makes freaking awesome noises, out of this world, it comes close to massive distorted Guitar at some points. It's also open source , just some ADG419 : )

      @Omarshmallow@Omarshmallow29 күн бұрын
    • @@Omarshmallow yeah, I bet it would be. TBH, I know a lot of electronic musicians don’t make a lot of money touring, and just getting his setup over here would cost a LOT of money, in addition to a plane ticket. He’s probably end up paying $1-3k just to get it here, and same on return. He’s have to do a lot of shows to justify that, in addition to at least $100 a day for hotel and food (and that’s staying at shady hotels and eating cheap food once a day) not including renting a vehicle, and paying for gas. Sometimes I wish I could just randomly have a few thousand dollars laying around and just be like “hey bro, just bring your stuff to my house, got a large basement with my own studio, can invite a few people over, and have a small private concert/jam session” and pay for it all myself, plus some extra pocket cash. But, alas, I myself have little money sadly.
