  • Songs from the Big Chair was the first record I ever purchased. I wasn't even a teenager yet and I barely had the money, but there was something in the music I had heard on the radio from Tears for Fears that resembled a door being opened to a much, much larger world. It was sweeping yet intimate, bombastic yet subtle, and it resonated with me unlike anything else I'd heard to that point. All these years later - knocking on the door of 50 - I put my headphones on, close my eyes, and lose myself in the music the same way I did as a pre-teen. How much of a gift is that?

    • they always have, always, peak of the music industry at its best and that time is definitely in the 70s and 80s.... but yes they always sound amazing and the most amazing thing is that you can listen to their songs on a loop 1000 times same song and never get tired, this is unique only to them, those songs broke through fibers of space/time, very much time travel like feel.
