  • The question is, how would Mike McCoy fix the issue?

    @robertgreen8695@robertgreen869516 күн бұрын
    • Mike would first consult with Mother.

    • I thought it had gotten bent somehow but it was out of alignment. I think when I had set the "lead in" the splitter should have been set then also. But I never gave that a thought. I just didn't know, but now I do. Thanks for watching and commenting

  • the reason 4 the board splitter is so U have a gap 4the board U just sawed if U don't its bind up and board will throwed back 2 U 😮😮 it's not going 2 feel good at all the edger at the sawmill is 4 that U didn't have 2 pull every board back and resaw it again that's more work the edger man runs the edger sets it 2 what is off the carriage run that board through its gone 2 the lumber pile where it's suppose 2 be U still can put put a pulley on that PTO shaft and run the edger that's the way most was and 😊😊 they used the GM DIESEL 671 4 more power U didn't have wait 2 saw a line and run a board through the edger at the same time ⌚ 😊 U get more lumber sawed in a day's time like dad and uncle Rob both could pull a lever and the sawmill had air dogs on it which saved alot of time it was changed over and the lig deck had lig rollers on it very seldom used another fellow a bit older than was a good log turner and he would turn logs all day by very seldom used a can't hook either 😊😊 OMG 4 3O 2O24

    • I can tell you have a lot of experience around a sawmill. I'm just getting started really. But I did figure out the splitter just need adjusting to get aligned to the blade. I thought maybe it had been bent. I sure do appreciate you commenting on this. I hope one day I'll be able to help someone that just got started. Thank you for watching.

    • @@templehillsawmill1748 . I like that sawmill. I have a Woodmizer but would love to have one like yours.

    • @kendavis625 I appreciate it. One big consideration of running an automatic mill is "can you get help when you are ready to saw?" A manual mill is easier to run solo. And even better is a bandmill. Thanks for watching and commenting
