She was a wonderful mother and told my brother and I each and every day that she loved us. Being male, how could I ever truly understand what it means to. be a woman or a mother? Thanks to my mom and how open she was about her feelings about how much she loved being a mother. She shared with me that the most difficult part of dying of ovarian cancer is that the one body part that gave her the most joy in life (uterus/giving birth) would also be what would eventually kill her. The last night I was with her in her hospital room I jumped into bed with her. Me, a 200lbs grown man, allowed my mom to hold me like a baby and we cried. It was the most beautiful experience of my life that few people will ever experience. Every time I listen to this song, I think of my mom and I'm a better man because of her.

The best songs of COCC are the 4 first ones (White Dress, the title track, Tulsa Jesus Freak, LMLYLAW). This one might be the warmest and most comforting song Lana has ever released. I love it so much, and I didn’t understand the slander. Fortunately, it had managed to grow on many listeners who warmed up to it, and who discovered beauty within simplicity.

I love her voice absolutely. The only issue I have with the song is that the backup singers sound like they're singing a different song and I'm not a huge fan of their sound, though I always love how Lana sings with a band. She elevates everyone around her. Her band is very talented, too, but if I only heard the parts of this song without Lana's beautiful voice, would I like the rest? I am not sure. Still, even my not favorite Lana songs are far and away better than the songs of any other current singer, so it's still quite a win, I'd say.
