Yeah but this year's playoffs in the Eastern Conference is truly bizarre. I refuse to bet a dollar on any teams in the east this year, no matter the odds. Just a few weeks ago when Boston, Florida, Toronto, Carolina, and Rangers clinched spots, we had the Islanders, Penguins, Flyers, Devils, Lightning, Capitals, Red Wings and Senators, - that is 9 of the 11 remaining teams in the east. 14 of 16 teams were in the running for a playoff spot with less than 3 weeks to go... As far as I know, this is like nothing that has ever happened before. All 8 of our teams in the east are unpredictable and nobody knows what the hell is going to happen! As a Bruins fan, if we both win the first round, we are probably playing each other. I doubt we will make it past the first round, so honestly I am just enjoying anything that happens, and everything we have seen in years since, will be thrown out the window. There will be no 4 game sweeps in the east. Probably no 5 game series either. Every series will go to 6 or 7 games. Best of luck to your team (unless you are playing Boston, of course lol), and I'll let you in on a Bruins nation secret, which is that we think the Hurricanes are going to win the east this season. You are the only team we are terrified of.
They still have a puzzling amount of those defensive breakdowns that'll bite their ass in playoffs. Both CHI goals were just Canes players running around after the puck (or the player holding it) and leaving guys wide open. MUST clean those out of their game.

In Chicago's defense, the Canes are one of the best teams in the league in both getting shots on net AND limiting opposing teams' shots on net.

I feel terrible that Hall and Foligno have to be on a toilet team after last season and how much love we have for them in Boston. We should trade a couple players and a draft pick to get Hall back to Boston. He deserves better. He has a heart of gold. Foligno as well. A heart of a gold and a true team player. They will always have a place in the heart of Bruins nation.
