I was rooting for Danielle, as she's been playing lights out tennis for the last 15 matches! This felt like a final. However, Sabalenka rallied back and displayed some excellent ball striking.

Match of utmost quality by two inform players whose styles are so similar. It's so easy to see how Sabalenka dug into her grand slam experiences to come through in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. And that was clearly the difference. Watching it live was even more exciting.

I expect Collins to talk to herself with her "let's go" but Saba seems to do it waaaaay more here and it's kinda annoying. ALL her winners in this video she says it. It's cooler when they say stuff in their native tongue instead of english.

Grunting all the rallies and yelling after winning a point is an awful example for the youngsters! The kids do the same now, even at low level, which brings fights on courts... It should be banned! These grunters are pushing crowds away from WTA...

The crowd in Madrid is just as primitive as the one in Paris. Spectators like these are ruining tennis! From 4-4 in the second set, they threw Collins off her rhythm. This was the second female umpire who couldn't control the crowd during a Collins match.

What happened to Collins? After losing the second set, she stopped shouting. Is that the reason why she didn't win the match? I've already realized that she shouts just when she is winning and feeling confident, just to intimidate her opponents. An awful personality. Happy because she will be out of tennis soon.

Grunting isn’t deliberate, it’s how they release pressure and build up on power. If you’re a true fan you know opponents don’t care about the grunting, Gauff said this in a post match interview when she lost against Sabalenka. If you’re bothered then dont watch 😅
