My first thought! What a horrible idea to cover it like that lol My aunt moved into a house with an in ground pool in somewhat disrepair, and she didn't think she'd use it much anyway. She had it filled in with dirt and after a couple years you couldn't even tell where it had been. Of course you have to be sure to have permits and things so it's on record that there is a pool underneath for future construction safety but otherwise it's a done deal

I cleared out my neighbors back yard after he died. He was a nasty curmudgeon. I found 6 55gallon drums full of rain water and gurn along my fenceline under overgrown shrubs. Finally found out where the stink came from and why my backyard was unusable in Summer from the clouds of mosquitoes...why we had so many bats at dusk.

It's a pool liner, not all pools are concrete and don't leak. You absolutely need the liner.

My first thought! What a horrible idea to cover it like that lol My aunt moved into a house with an in ground pool in somewhat disrepair, and she didn't think she'd use it much anyway. She had it filled in with dirt and after a couple years you couldn't even tell where it had been. Of course you have to be sure to have permits and things so it's on record that there is a pool underneath for future construction safety but otherwise it's a done deal
On the bright side the froggo probably got food

It's a pool liner, not all pools are concrete and don't leak. You absolutely need the liner.
A pool like that one needs a pool liner and they have to be changed about every 10 years.
They had to prep the ways to seal them install the liner everything they did was part of the process.
