    • The decorative nuances and breathing embellishments act as if some sort of punctuation to the melody. Relishes locked into the rhythm so incredibly fantastic it’s like its natural sounding or as you suggested ‘pure’. It’s sparse enough to be minimalist yet in a sophisticated enough manner to be undeniably recognizable as his own sound. I find it interesting to hear other musicians sing the same songs as him and while there’s plenty who can really sing and arguably equally ‘pure’, I haven’t heard anyone apply what Michael does that takes R&B or Pop songs to the epitome of what’s possible vocally. I’m not a singer but I can appreciate the guy definitely has developed this ‘instrument’ called voice to what became a timeless and universally enjoyable celebrated experience that I doubt will ever be forgotten by mankind. Bach like status if ya know what I mean. People be diggin this 300, 3000 to 30,000 years from now I can totally imagine.

  • It's songs like this one that truly showcase just what a beautiful voice Micheal really had, because it did tend to get lost in all of the hiccups, all of the "OW!'s, & all of his other embellishments.
