UnHerd's Freddie Sayers meets Sohrab Ahmari.
Since October 7th, old divides between Right and Left on support for Israel were predictably resurfaced. Less expected, however, was a new civil war on the online Right. Compact founder and key figure in the so-called ‘New Right’ Sohrab Ahmari joined UnHerd’s Freddie Sayers to discuss it.

Israel is one of the wealthiest nations why don’t you seem concerned with the amount of foreign aid we give them when we have no money for teacher/cop salary raises?
Israel is not a state as such, Israel is a European colony inherited by the US initially for a political reason then it developed to be for theological reasons. Israel now is an American investment and Israel will not survive a day in the heart of a Muslim ocean without a massive Western aid.... Which is drying up anyway
@@cuckoospider111Both wrong. Israel is no where near one of the wealthiest nations. And Israel defeated all the Arab armies by itself, with no help from the USA. Once the lovely USSR started supporting the Arabs, the USA then supported the Israel. That was the cold war. Yes. This is NOT a 'Left/Right' division, it is a 'Top-Down' force. To debate otherwise is a distraction. To keep us divided. And to ensure that THEY (The Hierarchy Exploiting You) are never in the cross hairs.
I'm not British, but I agree 💯. We can't vote our way out of this. We need to take back our culture and become such a dominant group that governments have no choice but to listen us and not Diversity. Just imagine if we did government for our own communities better than government does? If people were willing to contribute small amounts of money it could happen. We could provide secure housing to young people who wanted children. We could provide schools. We could have churches, the cool churches of Australia in the 1970s. No morning services, Sunday is a day off work. A short service steeped in culture. Followed by beer and BBQ, icecream and fizzy drinks for the kids. Cool youth groups and teen discos. When you are five million strong. Your government will start listening.

The principle for the right should always be the primacy of our own national self interest, not Israel's national interest. We ought to be ambivalent or neutral towards Israel (and any other foreign country). Unfortunately our political and media elite is stuffed to the gills with dual loyalists.
But what if our national interest is the fact that Israel as a state is in our national state interest ?

To call someone antisemitic or islamaphobic is dumb. Why would anyone care about how someone feels about a group of people or a single person. Nobody can ever read minds and those accusations are meaningless and we need to ridicule those that hurl such descriptions. How you feel about anything is none of anyone else’s business.
They don't care, I'm sure. Such accusations are simply used as a weapon / shield or "trick". The moment people start to throw around such words, I lose interest. You cry wolf too often and eventually people stop taking you seriously.
Yeah I was taking him seriously and then he said that. Oh okay you’re just like all the other mainstream media shysters. It’s especially rich when you notice he doesn’t even mention the national extermination aspect of the war, but he’s so worried about racism in the other direction. Galling
They are religions not ethnicities. They don't care if Christianity gets mocked or derided.

Exactly, I’m American, not Jewish, no connection with the so-called “Israel-lobby,” and I along with most of my gentile friends, very supportive of of Israel. Unfortunately, some younger Americans, shockingly ignorant of history (thanks for your incompetence, Humanities Departments), are incapable of conversation about Israel.
So starving a civilian population is OK with you? What do you think about A u s c h w i t z?
I would have thought listening to the testimony of Jews and Arabs who were living in the area which is now so contested before the Zionists arrived would provide evidence that things were going on pretty well without Israel. Then there is the testimony of jewish soldiers describing the very nasty stuff they did to the Arabs at the time. Moving on a few decades then there is Yeshahahu Leibowitz,, revered in his time by Israelites, a scholar and a Jewish zionist who described Israel's conduct in the 'occupied territories' as 'Judeo-Nazi'. (Quotation marks indicate his words). Post a general education on the awfulness of the treatment the Jewish people suffered in the 1930-45 I started out by reading Leon Uris' Exodus. A real thriller. Then I looked at the history as you say you did. Have you heard the Jewish historian Avi Shlaim's testimony, or that of Ilan Papé. It makes for uncomfortable reading sometimes but... The forensic academic Norman Finkelstein? Have you guaged their characters also as if making a deal with a businessman. And where there may seem to be flaws weighed how much they will affect the main planks of any part of their arguments? What do you think of the historical record of International Organizations recording Apartheid policy, and strangely using human beings as shields? (only the Israelis habe been found guilty of this). You know in West Bank the insidious killing of Palestinian children (I know that may mean a 17 yr old) which continued after Oct7 and continues now. More than 81 since Oct 7. Do you know that Ami Ayalon, ex shin bet chief and admiral in the Israeli Navy was interviewed a few days ago and asked what would he do if he were Palestinian? He replies that he would fight for his freedom. When asked how dirty he would fight he wryly raised an eyebrow, grimaced slightly then grimly said he would do what he thought was necessary for his freedom. This was the testimony of a man of war. Also there is Moshe Dayan's statement. (An Israeli war hero - dashing with his eye patch). ""What cause have we to complain about their fierce hatred to us? For eight years now, they sit in their refugee camps in Gaza, and before their eyes we turn into our homestead the land and villages in which they and their forefathers have lived." 70 % of legal America is right wing currently. But as the core orientation and direction thats been the base hospitality that all others work on the wings has self sacrificed now for 80 years for greater good so to speak. It will always be pro isreal and hold the sale allys. It's no ending or changing no matter how anti war it becomes. As you all know uk borh American decendants are fundamentalist who warned of anthromorphized astronomy and geology and mechanized biology while building agency in computation bots while long-term change comes from strong embassies building underground railroads saving one soul at a time bottom up inside out ( derogatory statement isolationist) We can't gather consensus to ww1 & 2 without Jacksonian likeminded majority word & context building out America. Just like now where we can't hold consensus majority without supporting both sides of a war has to be repaired before we mess up and lose support for isreal and our strong allies. How does this war make the rich richer? Ukraine war will do. Black Rock will invest in rebuilding Ukraine. But this one?

War has been money laundering since the 1860s
The "money" they send is just immediately spent on US weaponry and munitions. it's the military-industrial complex ticking along as it always has. War is a racket
Ehy the Israelis need to deal with the arabs who now call themselves Palastinians??? Let the 22 Arab nations deal with them!!!
Is this the fascist Iranian immigrant?
If Ukraine "might be a European problem", then he's assuming that the destabilisation of Europe wouldn't matter to American interests, an extraordinarily naive attitude. Europe is indeed scrambling to become more independent, something that I've always favoured, but at this point, Ukraine simply needs all the help that they can get. We're talking about a window of a year or two. Besides, almost all of the American money flowing into Ukraine actually stays in the US economy in the form of arms sales. This is existential, and the price of stability has never been lower for the Americans. As for NATO provoking Putin, right now, I frankly don't give a damn. Even if Ukraine agreed to cede territory, it wouldn't end there. Given Putin's history, this is quite obvious.
Putin has invaded two countries in 25 years, both neighbours on the black sea to arrest their ascension to NATO (ie to US military staging posts). There's nothing in that history to suggest he has any intention to attack NATO let alone anything which makes it 'obvious'. Its good old boogeyman propaganda

An interesting interview. It is interesting to hear the extent which many on the American right hold extreme views. This tendency is negligible in Britain.
that is because of how left-wing the UK is
@@johnl5316 True, to some extent. Although the extreme left also appears to be more prevalent in the United States than Britain.
That's because the alternative media space is much smaller in the UK, people with views outside of the Overton window can be controlled much easier than in the US - that is why Jeremy Corbyn got destroyed so easily - the few media orgs that supported him had minimal influence. Basically, in the UK, if the BBC disagrees with you you're done. The British are also much more obsequious than Americans, which is why even the right are so eager to please with performative Jew worship.
What is "the extent" exactly from what you heard in this interview? A claim of a tweet having 500 likes in a country of 335 million is your guage or what? Have you considered that you might not be likely to see or hear these views even if they do exist? Censorship, fear of backlash, maybe even being visited by the police for being mean online might play a role in why a person wouldn't talk about these views even if they believed them.
Which may explain why the UK is a woke dystopia
