      @StonyTable@StonyTable2 жыл бұрын
    • @@StonyTable it's offensive to feminists when men treat women like objects, or in any way as 'above' women. Even if a woman 'likes it', a feminist would just rationalise it as 'internalised misogyny' on her part. Why would she PERSONALLY get offended if someone else treats 'their' woman like that? Cuz she's probably in conflict with herself over those same issues she perceives in others. People reflect back our unresolved issues. The degree to which you get offended is the degree to which you hate it in yourself. It's self hatred projected as self importance i.e. 'my concept of myself feels attacked so i have a right to be offended'. My two cents

    • @@plefevre SOME Americans. It just depends on how they're raised and the environment they're raised in, just like with any human being on this planet. In the case of the ATF guy there's three possibilities. 1): he doesn't recognise that Ali G is just a character and probably thinks the guy is on the autistic spectrum. 2):he DOES recognise that Ali G is just a character, and is just giving genuine answers to throw Sacha off. 3): this one relates a bit to possibility one, but there is a chance that the ATF guys probably have to deal with serious idiots on a regular basis and just know how to talk to them without talking down to them.
