Cats have much more sensitive base of hearing; they can hear noises well into the high-pitch zone of up to 64 kHz. They also have an easier time sensing direction than us humans. Meaning that your friend here might actually be recognizing the sound of your camera recording in this little knook, and could be meowing thinking your close by

Snoop is calling his people. My cat does this every night at 4 a.m.! She's 15 and it gets louder and louder. She actually tries to find places so her voice echoes and her people can hear her from far and wide.

Sounds more like the beginning stages to cat dementia. They tend to get confused, especially when it's dark. And one of the signs are excessive meowing. Especially if shes a senior.

I used to have a cat that made this exact same kind of sound and would rarely actually meow. He unfortunately had to be put down a couple hours ago due to a genetic issue which made his bones weak. It's sad how quickly you can lose something you love. I wish you the best with your adorable cat.
