I'll watch Hodges a second time if I want to have fun. He's trying to make fools of the audience. In my opinion, Hodges is a bit like the actor Bruce Willis. Maybe this is the secret of popularity (such "Die Hard")?

    • @@paulbedichek5177 it’s quite simple really. There’s two things the US doesn’t want from this war: a quick victory and an end. The longer the war goes on, the more it weakens and destabilises Russia and Putin, making it ripe for regime change. This was detailed in the Rand corporations strategy document to the pentagon in 2017. The purpose of arming Ukraine is give them enough ordinance to make them competitive and a threat to Russia and keep them in the fight, without being enough to be decisive. The US is perfectly willing to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian if necessary. They have secured European gas and oil markets, are making huge profits from supplying Ukraine and NATO militaries with arms and oil, and getting to test their latest tech against a near peer competitor in battlefield conditions, including their latest AI gear, without any loss of life to their own military personnel and zero strategic risk should Ukraine lose. The profits have replaced those lost with the withdrawal from Afghanistan and its worth noting special forces are getting lots of opportunity to perform behind enemy lines attacks deep into Russia, embedded in and leading Ukrainian units.

  • Brilliant idea from Ben Hodges on publishing the Russian names of each person in the chain of "commanders" accountable for initiating firing on hospitals, etc. This would start with Putin and follow the chain to the Russian soldier who initiates the final release. This may raise the consciousness and fear of each soldier in this chain and make them aware their actions are trackable and they will be held accountable for their potential war crimes. Does anyone know how this could be done or if this is already being done?

  • What I like about Gen. Hodges is that he is upbeat. An important quality in a commander.

  • It is obvious that clarity of thought is the result of honest reflection and self-awareness. It gives me hope that Gen. Hodges has confidence in the colleagues he left behind when he retired.

    • Everything he said here is obviously false. NATO knows these Ukrainian offensives are turning them into canon fodder. The stated Russian military goal from the start was to destroy the Ukrainian military, not control land. How long can Ukraine even field soldiers? Why don't people see how Ukrainians have been used as pawns in a proxy war?
