  • Thanks for your insight on food formulation. However you've left alot of info regarding feed requirements vs feed formula content for the various ages in the broiler development. Alot of those feeds may or may not be readily available in parts of the world or seasonally available /expensive, so advising substitute based on similar nutritive content would go a long way. Am guessing various markets have different live/dressing weights requirements so feeding regime will necessarily vary. Big up and keep the channel alive!

  • i am finishing college this year and want to venture into poultry farming. After a lot of research, what seemed costly is feeds. i have been trying to cut the cost of feed by almost 80% or even 90% by growing most of the major ingredients. i want to feed my chickens (to be) sorghum because that is what we grow a lot in my country and they are really affordable. In short i want to be a feed manufacturer first then i start keeping chicken. i can produce and export them. am really looking forward to this new path i'm taking..

    • Hello. Check on the feeds you are giving. The feeds may be high energy feeds . However, call a vet to do postmortem on the carcasses.
