Re-Sanding A Block Paved Pathway In The Wet 😮....YOU CAN'T DO THAT!..🚫....Can You??

This was a job I carried out last week for a previous customer. Their main driveway is permeable block paving, that requires re-gritting instead of re-sanding, and can be cleaned and gritted easily in either wet or dry weather.
Their block paved pathway was the more commonly used type that requires re-sanding. Now the usual way of re-sanding block paving is to wait until the blocks are completely dry then top up the sand using kiln dried paving sand. This can obviously be a problem come Autumn and winter
But......if you get caught out by the weather, there is another way.....wet sanding. You end up using more sand than if applying it dry, there's more waste, and it takes longer, but if you need to get a job finished because winter and the wet weather has taken hold, this is certainly an option, and it WORKS! You can indeed get the job completed, and get PAID 💰

  • You've done a beautiful job as usual. Who knew you could sand it wet. I'm glad you showed it. Thanks 😊

  • Nick you never stop amazing me 😂. I’ve started asking customers to pay for the clean when job is done and then the sanding when that’s done as sometimes it can take over a week to get it sanded. I had no idea you could do this. I have 3 jobs booked in this week all driveways and I’ve been hoping the weather will hold out for it.

  • Who knew?!?!?!? 😲 In today's episode, I learned about wet sanding and grit. Although I think you did grit in another video, I do not think I have ever seen the wet sanding. And while it looks fabulous....it seems like a lot more work. You turned a green driveway/path into a red one. 🧙🏼‍♂ You're a wizard, Nick. Fabulous job!!!! 🌟 Just watching you do the sanding, made me want to fly over there and run the hose behind you to help you finish the job before it got dark. 😉 Another outstanding job on the books. Thanks for sharing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Nick you never cease to amaze..... Love your work and your attention to detail and attitude to getting it done and rightly done, no cutting corners..... I know I'm across the pond but I'm seriously contemplating giving this a go as to get away from driving buses, it has me broke up at the moment with sciatica and few other bits but I'm working hard on weight loss and I can't see myself going back as at itnear 20 years and I'm just not able to deal with the public and the stresses anymore...... Obviously been out of action I'm buggered on having zero funds but it honestly something I'd love to do as I use to be at cars doing interior etc but just not able for all that bending in tight places.... It's something I find so satisfying is the transformation and it's just in my head I really really want to give it a go..... Thinking when I can of likes of gutter vac, extension pole or poles, brush, better jet washer then my fairly new K4 premium, van big enough to carry the gear and get cracking hopefully some time in the new year..... Great work Nick. Love the videos

  • Yay a pavement clean! Don’t get me wrong I like your roof cleaning but I enjoy pavement cleaning better 😂 It really needed cleaning too! That was a lot of moss and I could see why they wanted it done, but I understand why it’s usually a spring and summer job. I had no idea you could do wet sanding. It’s unfortunate it uses more sand and takes longer but it came out looking awesome. Too bad you ran out of grit with just a small surface left to do. Amazing job as always Nick ❤
