12:43 The translate feature did a really decent job, from English to Spanish it was spot on, but from Spanish to English was just decent. That's expected because people from different countries use some expressions that won't make sense to a translator, your barber sounded Mexican so some expressions are going to confuse the translation feature but it did a good job for the most part..

Agree, talking clearly will also be an important part of live translate calls.
Yeah the barber said something like "manda mensaje nomás" (just send a message) which should have been "just text me" but the AI interpreted "nomás" as "no más" (no more), that's why it says something like "doesn't text anymore"

I've heard the color difference on the s24 is because of a bug, where changing from "natural" to "vivid" in the color settings doesn't actually change anything. I'd say wait for an update and see if it changes anything.
I thought it was because of the reflection reduction on the screen
Also, I found out that eye comfort is aggressively calibrated on the s24 Ultra. I was comparing it to my S22 Ultra and had to turn it off to get the same brightness level.

Ngl I did not notice it until I put my s23U side by side, but it is hard to notice in day to day IMO

Ive got a blue 1tb on order but went and played with a 24 ultra today at samsung to compare shot for shot with my s23 ultra. To my surprise the 24 ultra is actually better especially in zoom shots which i was not expecting! Love the flat screen as well...finally samung.
Ive also got a s24ultra and had the s23U previously and clasp tried the camera 12M at max zoom S23U had a bit more better clear quality photos but 50M and 200M at max zoom the s24U took more cleaner pictures. 2 upgrades to the camera but not an upgrade with 12M.

Amazing review Mr Jud love how you really use the phone whereas others tend to use it off camera and post it after they using it and as you said that your glad that the curve screen i was glad too using my s24 ultra now i can finally use the s pen without falling of the edge of the screen just like the samsung flagships and plus the screen vivdness problem will be gone away with an update so far this phone is a beast it is the s23 ultra again but more fresh and more polished im enjoying my s24 ultra thanks for the review also mr austin is getting bigger i remember he was just a small kid now hes a big boy love you my man ❤❤❤

For the language translation to work properly, you have to download the different language packs. Go to settings, General management, language packs, and download the ones you like. Geez, I've only had my for S24U hrs, I knew I would have to download languages for it to work!

Awesome UrAvgConsumer review of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. What a great phone📱👍🏾😀! I’ve seen so many KZheadrs leaving their iPhone’s and getting this one. I’m not a KZheadr;I’m not getting this awesome beast of a phone. So many reviewers are ecstatic about the flat screen display. The rounded edges on my 😅 SGNU 20 never bothered me. People’s complaints were that trying to write with the SPEN on the edges deleted text. Which was an annoying truth😢. Kudos to Samsung for listening to their customers and your UrAvgConsumer😀👍🏾!!
The difference in screens is due to vivid mode literally not working on the S24. Currently, selecting accurate versus vivid makes no difference on the S24 Ultra. I'm hoping that Samsung fixes this bug soon.
As of typing this the phone has only been out for 12 days. I am sure they will put out an update once more users get their hands on and are able to point out more bugs if any are found. they just put out a quick update to the gestures feature about 13 hours ago (for unlocked devices, Cell provider versions i.e. ATT, Verizon and TMobile will come out when they are released by your cell provider). Be patient they will fix issues soon. =] I personally am loving this phone and when we get the updates I am sure everyone will be happy once they are released.
The screen is not vivid because it has a special coating to reduce reflection.
@othmanzainalabidin5144 that would explain why it isn't as vivid as the s23, but not why there isn't a change from accurate to vivid on this device. I'm almost certain that Samsung will release a day 1 patch to resolve it, though.

Tbh why would anybody use vivid mode, it's way too saturated that it looks cartoonish. The first thing i do is set the screen to natural mode.
Titanium yellow looks good in your video. I got gray because the yellow looks too yellow online lol.

I picked one up and love it. Definitely best phone out right now! I just feel like the Z Fold 6 will do amazing things this year especially with the cover screen because they was in 3rd place in foldables last year playing it safe. I definitely believe I'll carry out the year on Samsung though

A Collectors item for sure like the Note 10 Plus. Which is probably the last one to have the S Pen in the Correct spot (the freakin Right side and not the Left lol 😂 )

Nicely done. I use google lens alot. I do like the feature on the S24 where you can circle the item now. This comes in handy if the pic is already on my phone. If not I just use google lens.
Nokia Lumia phones were the FIRST with cornering Gorilla Glass and it was tough as hell. I never used a case or screen protector for mine and it worked fine, no chips or scratches.
The scratch is from your Oura ring! I had the exact same problem and switched the ring to my other hand after I discovered it!
OMG I've been trying to find the culprit and you're 100% right! Do you have the stealth version too? I didn't have this issue before with my silver version.

Just watched your video and the reason for the difference in the darkness of the screen like on the hardwood floor is what pixel setting you have it on. I have it on the QHD setting and it is more vivid and a little darker but like I said it's a bit more vivid.

I'm coming from the note 20 ultra, so I'm really excited to get my hands on this and check it out.
The Kid! It’s so cute ❤ the S24 Ultra display feels more or look accurate at least for me but I love the vividness of samsung display I’m used to it for life I mean I buy phone because of the display and I like the new feature the ADAPTIVE COLOR TONE.
I think the thing with the display is that its working with a warmer color tone, which I'm all up for, cause the blue, cool vibe on the S23U becomes a bit uncomfortable at certain times during the day. And if you use eye comfort shield, there should be no reason to complain about the new tone.
I think the corners look sharp and a slight rounding would be better. Keep it square 🖼️ but curve smooth on edges!
I got a email that my s24 ultra is ready for pick up tomorrow. I am so excited. I went with the OG black colour. My case and screen protector is ready.
Update. I got my phone almost a week ago. It's been magical. Hahaha last time I had a Spen on my phone was the note 2. Totally worth it with the amount of work I do on this phone for work and play.

I noticed that it wasn’t mentioned in the video. And I’m not sure about other videos on the S24 ultra. But there is another really cool feature in which you can now crop unwanted items out of not only pictures. But also video footages. Which I think is insane. I’d like to see how it works !
I picked up the Titanium purple and I love it. The screen is muted cause of the Anti reflective coating it makes the screen don't look as bright

I speak Spanish, and from your conversation, it did an alright job; however, some context was missing as some parts made no sense, and I wonder how well the AI captures what someone is saying in real time to translate it well.

If anyone seen the new Samsung Frame Tv it has that anti reflection coating, side by side with older models you can tell it's dimmer and the colors not bright, same thing on the phone, but you would never know if you did have both products side by side.
Yeah the color saturation is a known issue. The natural and vivid toggle doesn't fix this. Samsung is aware and is replacing affected units!! Great catch though!
I got the plus today with an otterbox defender pro. My S10 is sending me cease and desist orders.

I think you have to turn on adaptive brightness on the S24 for it to actually reach full brightness in the sun

Go into developer mode and change the contrast from low to high and it should make the screen pop better. Turn animations down to 0.5 will make it feel snappier too.

THANK YOU for acknowledging the dull, flat colors on the new S24. I got my S24 Ultra pre-order on Friday and I immediately noticed how dim and flat the display was, especially compared to my S22 Ultra. We're not alone... There are hundreds of posts on the issue now.

I love the small curves on the s23 ultra tbh
so i got this phone on the 24th of january. first impression with the screen being less saturated stuck out to me straightaway, i just stuck it down to the anti-reflective coating and all but if it is the case that it may be a software update to fix it, then fingers crossed. i'd have said i upgraded but i literally bought the s23 ultra a couple months back when i switched from ios, but then trading in the s23 ultra to get the s24 ultra, i have heard and seen all of the memes/comments with all of this and having said all of that, this phone is excellent, battery is amazing, the phone looks beautiful and the fact that the screen is flat, just makes it that much easier to find screen protectors for the phone now and cases that work together. also, with my pre-order, i managed to get a free case and two screen protectors from samsung directly so before the phone came out of the box, i'd put both of them on because your review is not the only i've seen the mention of scratches in so here's to hoping it prevents/delays them from happening.

Fun fact: On Samsung or Android phones You can mirror, project to a projector or use dex to an external monitor to stream sporting events like boxing,UFC , football etc. On iphone you cannot its restricted! I stream to a projector when I go camping and the whole site loves it!

@@DoritosResidue it doesn't natively allow anything similar to dex. I came from the galaxy line to Pixel, we can do screen mirroring like casting to a device though. We can't stream content from our phones to a monitor directly sadly

My Galaxy s24 ultra came in today I put a screen protector and a case on it before I even pressed the power button for the first time. I haven't been able to use the phone yet as I'm still transferring data from my old phone.

I actually like that the colors are a bit less saturated. Before it felt almost cartoonish with how punchy the colors were. This feels like a great balance.

That new "text call" and "call assist" is actually super dope. I never thought phones would ever have such a feature on them and always thought you would have to download a 3rd party app for that. Iphones need to step their game up because this phone and android phones in general are starting to call to me haha

I always wonder what do you do with all the phones that you buy every year? Do you still have other phones and which ones do you have and which ones you don't have anymore if you do have a collection hopefully you make a KZhead video seeing your phone collection.
You can adjust the camera shutter speed in the options.
I really think the brightness issue will be fixed with software within the next month or so.
@14:00 - This is my main gripe with my S23U. I have 2 children and some of the pictures I take while they're in motion come out blurry. I tinkered with some settings in Camera Assistant, but still the results are a bit underwhelming. Other than that, the phone is excellent.
I'm on the fence getting the S24 Ultra and the only thing keeping me is taking pictures indoors of kids and pets. Is it really that bad on the S24 Ultra? I have a Pixel 7 Pro right now, which at least doesn't disappoint in that regard.

Huh kind a same like you, I was Note 9 user, went for 13 Pro Max and then to 14 Pro Max, and now thinking to go back to Samsung with S24 Ultra.
I switched from the 14 pro max to s24 ultra two days ago so far I'm enjoying it and the freedom of customization again 😂
