He is very special player. Some people do not know much about his talents because social media was not so developed at his time. he got very short time than other players. But at this short time he show his talents more than any others. He had his own very smooth & attractive style. specially he did it effortlessly. It's like art. left or right foot he manage it very well. This video shows about 10% of his actual skills. After 3 major knee surgeries..😳 No other player can do it like him. That is the reason why he got the name "phenomenon". If he had not faced those injury problems we can't even imagine the level he is in today.... best player of all time... legend.. "phenomenon"💪

I loved him. The player that made me like football. Unfortunatelly as he said in his retirement match: "My body couldn't take it anymore" even tho clearly he had desire to play hypertheryoidsm took a toll on him. And even then being 90 + kg at some point when he played at Corinthians he was still OUTRUNNING defenders and mocking them with cleverness. No Messis, Cristianos no Mbappes will ever match this man in his prime. The name "Phenomenon" is given for a reason : there's not gonna be another like him.

Las lesiones. Su disciplina no era tan mala. Sabía disfrutar, pero tampoco era Ronaldinho. Lo que pasa que tiene una enfermedad que le produce obesidad. Lo que le jodió fue la lesión de rodilla, y a pesar de perder mucha explosividad siguió siendo el mejor delantero del mundo.

Because in his final seasons at Real Madrid, Fabio Capello gave R9 a very hard time about his weight, so you see R9 between 2006 and 2007 gets much slimmer than 2005-2006. Look at his debut for AC Milan, he looks really slim, almost like his 2002 real madrid debut. but by 2nd season of AC Milan he got overweight and slow again.....Then a couple years after he retire, he lost loads of weight in celebrity TV show, but now again he is overweight but he is middle age man now... Everybody is overweight by that age.

R9 is one of the GOATs. The best striker I have seen. An absolute beast and best amongst men. He played against greatest defenders in an era when physical tackles were normal. Only the R9 could survive that devastating career threatening knee injury and come back to win the World Cup by scoring a brace in the grand final after just 2 years is magnificent.

At that time he had hypothyroidism, which is why he got so fat. He didn't need Cristiano's discipline, he just needed to have good knees and not have hypothyroidism to become the greatest in history.

Not just chest-thumping the ball for the second goal, but also the last highlight where he had a golden opportunity to head the ball in for the hat-trick, but just doesn't want to.
It wasn’t his thing. He scored only a few headers in his career. His thing was take the ball outrun and out dribble everyone including goalkeeper and score lol. He really enjoyed that.

Because in his final seasons at Real Madrid, Fabio Capello gave R9 a very hard time about his weight, so you see R9 between 2006 and 2007 gets much slimmer than 2005-2006. Look at his debut for AC Milan, he looks really slim, almost like his 2002 real madrid debut. but by 2nd season of AC Milan he got overweight and slow again.....Then a couple years after he retire, he lost loads of weight in celebrity TV show, but now again he is overweight but he is middle age man now... Everybody is overweight by that age.
Speed is more about muscle memory than it is weight....fast twitch muscles cause for explosive speed.
