I was thinking about an option to fuse glowstone or glowsquid ink to make the trim glow in the dark, giving it a more tech and powerful look
I want that too. But ingredient used should be the glow ink sacs cause glow squids need more usage
@@Master_Brutus but everything else used for coloring trims are gems or ores, right? It wouldn't make as much sense to use glow ink sacs instead of glowstone.

i think it would be cool if the trims gave certain abilities corresponding to the trim youre using. like the ocean monument trim gives a small amount of water breathing, or passive depth strider, etc.

I really dont think that's necessary. The player is already absolutely OP compared to the rest of the game as it is we really have no reason to be even stronger
nah cuz then everyone would just use the 'best' trim all the time and there would be no variation between people. These give players an oppurtunity to all have a bit of customization and look different from each other while wearing good armour.

One thing I think helps a lot is your sort of neutral accent, because it makes your speech really clear and easy to understand, you also don't speak too fast or too slow or use 'hard to understand' vocabulary. Definitely will be using trims on a server I play on, there are about 40 players, and each group/clan can now have their own trim color, with the design of the trim showing the players job or rank.

I really like that they are adding this, I never liked how every player looks the same with their full enchanted netherite armor and elytra, you could tell people apart from their name and shield banner though, but this brings more possible creativity, which is always good for Minecraft I think my favorite template is the one from the bastions

Yeah, I'd always use a texture pack that minimized armor so I could see everyone's skins clearly. But now, no way! Trims look awesome!

8:36 i think it's not a flower, it's probably the sandstone layout between the purple and orange concrete in the desert temple
I hope they expand further upon these for tools, weapons, and elytra, maybe even making the elytra have different types of materials for the wings like feathers or leaves

You know there was four more armor trims added the raiser the shaper the host and the wayfinder. I feel like that should have been added to updated armor trim guide. And technically you would also have to class the netherite upgrade as one but I think you must have talked about that under your netherite guide maybe
The pattern on the side of the helmet for the snout Armor Trim I believe is the snouts of the Piglin or maybe it's eyes maybe? Nah looks like the snout
if u put one trim first and then a completely different one on the same piece of armour will it overwrite or combine?
How do you access the armor trims? I’ve loaded every version that’s added the smithing templates, but I can’t find them in any of the snapshots or preview versions.
is there a way to remove/change an armor trim? let's say you found one, you were happy, you trimmed your entire set of OP netherite armor with it. Than you found some others that look better, but are low on netherite ingots, so you can't realistically craft new sets for every trim you want to try out. If you try a new trim on an already trimmed one, does it overwrite the previous one? paint on top? Or just simply not allow the new trim?
Guys! I don’t know anything about computers so I need your help! I want to play bedrock on a pc. The cheapest pc possible. I don’t need it for anything else. Someone said you should get an 8 gb instead of a 4 gb something. (If 4 will run bedrock 4-6 chunk render distance that’s ok) I have a tv that can be used as a monitor. I want to be able to switch between progress on my single player world from pc to phone regularly. (I have an expired realm I can activate to make this easier) If there is a better place to ask this question please provide it! Thanks fellas! 🧙♂️

Elder guardians only having a 20% chance of dropping a tide trim is broken. If they insist that increasing the odds to 100% is too OP, what they should instead do is make 1 elder guardian per monument have 100% chance of dropping a trim while the other 2 drop one.

instead of using coloured leather armor in team pvp we can use armor trimmed in different colours and we can use different patterns as ranks

Armor trims were a great idea to buff existing structures, especially ones of low value such as woodland mansions and ocean monuments
Hi Idk where else to go. I noticed two things while making a vertical farm. If I jump or fall on tilled/hoed dirt, I fall though! And since I was using single layer dirt, i was falling through to lower floor. Also, I place a half slab on the bottom half of the single dirt layer to water the soil. Then I bust the half slab out and the water block just floats in the 1x1 dirt hole. What is going on!!!!!?
I just came back to Minecraft after being gone for a while, when this update releases does that mean if I’ve already looted these places where you find these will I just be out of luck? Does that mean I’ll have to make a different world to get these? I don’t want to start my realm world over just to update the game and not be able obtain these templates…

The design on the sides of the snout helm represent the pig ears
It's cool to get more customisation, but I wish the gold trim acted as piglin protection like a gold armour piece does. I don't mind so much the hit to armour points when swapping out a netherite helmet to a gold one when I go into the nether, but I constantly forget to take it with me in the first place. The number of times I've had to backtrack to pick up my gold helmet is ridiculous and frustrating. Having that gold functionality on my main armour but retaining a matching set of netherite would be awesome. (I know there's a java mod for this, but it'd be nice to have in vanilla.)
The problem with that is that everyone would just use gold trim on their armor, making all the other materials pointless. And if other trim materials were given functions, people would pick their trim materials based on functionality instead of looks, and the whole point of the feature is that it's cosmetic. I think it remaining as only a mod would be best.

Ask yourself why they gave golden armour a use in pigling trading.
Does armor trims have any effect on enchanting or upgrading? 1. Can you add enchantments to armor that has trims on it? Or must you fully enchant before adding trim? 2. Does enchanting trimmed armor cost more levels than enchanting regular armor? 3. Can I upgrade trimmed diamond armor to netherite, or will I need to upgrade before trimming? For 1. yes you can add enchantments to trimmed armor, you don't have to enchant them before trimming them. For 2. Enchanting cost the same, it doesn't matter if you have trim or not. And for 3. I had to go and test this in creative but no, you don't have to worry about waiting to trim armor since any pattern on a diamond chestplate for example, will be transfered onto your new netherite chestplate. Hope this helped :)

Hey, could you make a video explaning how flower generation works? I saw your banners videos and i tried to make a flower farm for dyes but i would get just 2 type of flowers and the second farm i made just beside it i got 1 different flower... the wiki information is confusing about this so would love if you made a ultimate tutorial on flowers.
Are you doing it in a flower forest biome? They have a special way that flowers are generated. Instead of the type of flower being randomized, it's based off of a noise map, where certain XY coordinates will only ever grow a certain kind of flower with worldgen or bonemeal. (It's beautiful if fully grown, but I imagine annoying for flower farms).

These new armor trims give off a power rangers vibe. Seems too expensive considering the use. Aside from an esthetic, there should be some enchantment or ability with each type other than just a flex. Great video as usual!
It seems like a cool idea at first, but then people would pick trim types based off their functionality instead of aesthetic, and we'd quickly reach a point where everyone had the same optimal armor trims, which entirely defeats the point of them being used for self expression.
@DekuKitty Well, my thought was that the price is extremely high for little benefits, say the ocean monument template also adds aqua infinity and / or respiration to armor. Typically, I have a couple sets of armor depending on what or where I go. The same applies to tools. This wouldn't change any esthetic choices as you could disenchant and re- enchant items as one wishes and still build armor as one wishes. It just seems a bit too expensive for little benefit. @@walteruber994 That's the point. It's an endgame feature, just to look cool. If there were a gameplay incentive to get the trims, it'd just become Enchantments 2; yet another grind to optimize your gear. Every player would end up with samey armor to be the best/most practical, just like every player had the same diamond/netherite armor before. Armor trims are meant to encourage players to go for their own look and style without having to worry about losing the armor's practicality. If the diamond cost isn't worth it to you, you're not missing out on any gameplay advantage by foregoing the whole thing.
If I'm playing on a world made on 1.19.3 and update it to the new snapshot will I be able to find new armor trim items in structures from new chunks that haven't loaded on my world yet? or would I have to make a new world on the snapshot
So long as you've enabled the data pack containing the features, then yes, you'll be able to generate new chunks to find the new features.

what if the trim types gave you certain abilities only in certain regions. For example in netherfortesses, monuments or the wardens territory. It wouldn't be too op if they only gave you small benefits.
