i use a john deere 6820 with a 5 furrow plow in Romania for 740 acre . here the soil its soft and easy to work with .

Beautiful convoy coming down the road. I imagine the asphalt is pretty hard on those tracks, but, you have to get your equipment to the fields. I really like the Challenger.
The rubber tracks run well on the road. They will hold well. Tracks last about 3,000 hours.

I don't know anything about tractors but for some reason they're so cool
Around 2002 I started collaborating with a video production company and I got drafted into being the field cameraman. The "field" client manufactured sod harvesting equipment. The first out on my own I was pleased with how steady and sharp I got everything walking along with them at work. So did the producer back at the editing room. Then he put his hand on my shoulder and said "but we're not selling the tractors, we're supposed to be showing what they're pulling." I had fallen in love with the latest New Hollands with their joysticks and monitors and GPS, etc. in all of that lovely shiny blue body work and forgot what I was there for. LOL. No tractors as big as these though.
I can understand that. That is neat you have been able to film for a company.
When you talked about the specs of each tractor it may have gone over my two years old nephew’s head but he loved the tractors.

the wheat ranch i used to work on ran a Steiger Bearcat dual tired articulated tractor, a rod weeder, discs and chisel plow. i live in the city now

I have a 2 acre grass around my house I run a Kabota BX 23 with a 52 inch cutting blade and we use an aerator 48 inches to aerate twice a year along with a Kabota three bushel bagger to cut up and bag the grass.

what was the unit behind the challenger? figured it would be smaller than the higher hp units but it was only one that had powerline clearance issues.

I use a International 5088 with a 64 blade 18’7 disc harrow for secondary tillage and a 9 shank case ih 6500 conservation till plow for primary tillage
You should do a close up of the tiller and the dirt while tilling. People will enjoy the discs spinning in the dirt.
I have a video showing those views from under the disk. I can not locate at st the moment. It was filmed in 2018 I think. I will have a new WISHEK video out this fall and show the go pro close up again.

BTP you need to come down to Louisiana to see John Deere and Case harvesting the sugarcane
I sure do. I really hope to do that someday it’s big on my wish list to film.
Planting sugarcane season starts the first week of August until September while its to cut the sugarcane to haul to the mills. Maybe next year you can come film for sugarcane planting and harvest season

Corn stalks keep wheat roots from reaching nutrients and water so we disk them up and plant into that
Diesels still seriously have their place. Try doing this with battery power.
We may see diesel electric like locomotives some day but a battery is not going to get this work done.
they some big tobacco barns in the distance..do a vid on them one day..tobacco has become large farming also 100 acres to 500 acres here in Barren co..where it use to be half acre, 5 acres here there, small farms, all gotten big

We use Wishek in fall and Norwood in spring...Wishek makes huge chunks...which increases the surface area of the sun hitting the field in spring. We often have 4ft drifts of snow on the north side of buildings when we start tillage with the Quadtrac...barely get the soil warm enough for May planting. Float the field with fert and Quicktill and plant the next morning.
