In honor of Black History Month, WeightWatchers is celebrating the Black Wellness community. Throughout February, we’ll be highlighting Black leaders who have helped shape the wellness world into a more inclusive and accessible space for all. ⁣
First up: Millie Peartree, chef, restaurateur, humanitarian, caterer, and WW partner. When she had to temporarily close her beloved Bronx, New York, restaurant, Fish Fry & Soulfood, during Covid-19, Millie pivoted to feeding essential workers. From there, she founded Full Hearts Full Bellies, an initiative dedicated to preparing meals for children in The Bronx, where more than 30 percent of the population is food-impoverished. To date, the organization has provided more than 5,000 meals.

As WeightWatchers praises those opening doors and ensuring wellness truly is for every body, show gratitude for yourself and all that you do for your friends, your family, and your community. We’re asking you to join us in pledging to put yourself and your health first.
