We took our bike loving but race shy 5 year old along to Arena Cross, to watch THE BEST motocross (Supercross!) racing event in the UK!
Featuring the little riders centre stage; Cohen Llewellyn (check out @cohenllewellyn4062 ) in E5 - the all electric category for those 6 to 9 year old racers, then John Slade (@LittleJohns288)on a 65cc - petrol geared motocross bikes for 7 to 10 year olds... and 14 year old female racer Olivia Reynolds (who was the youngest girl to do a backflip on a motocross bike at 11 years old - check out @olivia199reynolds ) riding the 85cc - big and small wheeled petrol, geared motocross bikes for those 11 to 14 year old riders.
Then there's Jack Brunell (check out @jackbrunell155 on Insta) riding the Stark motocross bike in the professional race... and making history to be the first ever to win the event on an electric bike... made even more emotional for him riding at a track where he last came to with his dad, gone too soon.
What a night to watch all these racers giving it there all - Harley went from not very interested in racing (or watching racing), to 'maybe I fancy trying a race' after watching @LittleJohns288 training at his compound to 'I want to race the @TheArenacrossTour Supercross E5 electric race next year!!!' After spending the evening watching all the races!!
Will we be watching in 2025? Or will we be lining up to race... watch this space!!!
