A Great Bird Adventure at Animal Kingdom. Although they’re no longer around, Imagineers have incorporated tributes, easter eggs, and leftover relics of the old attractions for us to find in these new attractions. • I would like to see more abandoned rides or idea videos and I would absolutely love to see more Disney land vs world rides not specific to a certain land or just the main 2 parks, Disney land, and magic kingdom. Maybe include the other three parks with land and dca for example galleys edge rides or little mermaid.

    • @@jZ0357 Are you sure? He seems to be a Disney owned character. He's shown up in recent merchandise. Was a character in the comics. Shows up at events. From what I read Kodak just didn't care much for the original pitched character "Professor Marvel" and didn't like the fact Figment was a green dragon. Kodak seemed to just have the final say in the project. I don't think Kodak owns the rights to the name and likeness.

  • Bring back one? The original Journey into Imagination! That ride was all about imagination and how it could be used to create. It had memorable characters, memorable music, and a great message. It was a perfect ride. The versions that followed, sadly never came even close to what the original managed. Epcot needs a new version with Dreamfinder and Figment reunited. They could even tweak the story a bit, showing how imagination inspired various things through out time perhaps.

    @eviltom17@eviltom174 ай бұрын
  • Now, I'm bummed that I missed out on the original Journey into Imagination and Maelstrom rides. The original Journey into Imagination looked like a way better dark ride than what Epcot has now and I like the spookiness vibe of the Maelstrom attraction!

    • Same! Imagination is a part of all of us. No one in their right mind can tell me that Figment is just a kid's character, as there seems to be a lot of 40-50 year olds that still love him, as they have experienced the original ride in the 80s and 90s. He just never left and has been a soul mate of sorts🥰

  • They should bring back the original Journey into Imagination with updated audio animatronics, special effects, and scenes, plus they should bring back ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter with updated queue, updated pre show, updated audio animatronics, recast the X-S members, and reimagine the story as the Alien is super intelligent with a robot replacing the worker from the original version.

  • If they do bring back Journey into Imagination like it was when it first opened, I really wouldn't be surprised if they updated it with a trackless ride system. It would have the cars linked up to start and as they enter each area, would separate and "bounce" around the room, before linking back up and traveling into the next area to do the same. For a good example of this, look up the Winnie the Pooh ride at Tokyo Disneyland.

  • The giant paintbrush from the figment meet and greet could also be a reference to figments line in the OG one little spark, “ooh! Ooh! A rainbow! I’ll use that to paint with!”. Also you forgot to point out the fact the tunnel that figment comes from is labeled as The Dreamport, the place that figment and dreamfinder take you to in the original ride.

Some of the screens also don't work in Toy Story Mania, costing you points. As far as I can tell, everything else is ok. We just came from there last week. Have fun!

  • I remember eating at Pizza Planet in the Muppets section! I can't remember the last time I saw what it looked like. The Up version of the birds show at Animal Kingdom is the only version of the bird show I saw in person. Disney, PLEEEASE bring back the original version of Journey into Imagination in any way you can; including bringing Dreamfinder back to the ride! Frozen Ever After is all right for what it is, but it would be fantastic to have Maelstrom back. I wasn't born when 20,000 Leagues under the Sea existed, but it looks cool! So, if I have to pick only 1 to bring back, it would be the original Journey into Imagination.

Digital projections to keep the animations and film sequences from wearing out. Trackless vehicles to resolve the issue with the carousel for the Dream Finder scene. Just get Steve Alcorn's company to do the control system and all would be amazing again.

  • 20K Leagues tribute. I didnt know about the big sub tribute. cool and thanks. reminds me of the Steamboat Willie at the exit of little mermaid. Another 20K tribute can be found in the playground queue at the Pooh attraction. The Pooh playground used to be across the walkway from the Pooh attraction where the 20K Leagues was. Inside the Pooh Hunny tree, look just over the doorway as you exit to find another 20K Leagues sub. PS The tree is kid sized...lol so you will have to duck to enter and find the sub.

  • I had no idea about the 2nd Hidden Nautilus (technically 3rd if you count Pooh’s tree?) Fantastic find! Did you know about the hidden Steamboat Willie at the exit of Little Mermaid?

  • Every now and then I’ll see comments online about how the original journey into imagination should come back. And while I agree that the first version was the best of the 3 incarnations, the unfortunate truth is that the original version can never return for a simple reason: Ask any imagineer who worked on the original attraction, and they will tell you the carousel at the beginning was an engineering nightmare that constantly had problems. It’s part of the reason the carousel was removed in the refurbishment
