Welcome back to another episode where man and machine attempt to do battle with Haulover Inlet!

Enjoyable episode. Last boat with bow rider was robbed of a win! Love seeing an ocean hog like the yacht after the outro. $$$
Bow riders coming out of Haulover are always underpowered with a green hand at the helm and a bunch idiots onboard.
If she hadn't been sitting on the bow like that, then I too probably would have given a win to them. Way too dangerous. Skipper should have told her to take a seat inside.
Best boatsman I ever knew took us out on Lake Temiskaming, a notorious Canadian lake, in a thunderstorm/squall with steady 5-6 ft waves, some higher, in a 16 ft ragtop. He made it look easy and safe in waves cresting over our heads by surfing the boat inside the crests full throttle. He made the waves work for him, he was just incredible. His other "boat" was for "rough weather". It was a 30-35 ft logging tugboat, & needed his certified engineer buddy and an experienced crewman to even take it out. He was in his late 70s at the time. ✝️

Absolutely. If that had been a kid in the bow with no lifejacket I could see a loss. But this was an adult holding on tight enough and the captain had it under control.

After seeing the second boat and then hearing there was a kid on the floor with no life jacket on after taking on that much water make me wonder if someone has ever drown inside of a boat. I’m pretty much convinced it’s happened numerous times…
From my point of view the phrase "stuffed it" is used way too much on these boat channels. BUT ..... That first boat really was a true stuffing. The bow really got pressed down, and a lot of water just kept pouring in. A bit longer and he would have been close to swamping. Water runs to the back, stern goes deep transom gets pushed down, more water in the boat, another following wave and maybe a roll and that's a they wrote. It happens that quick and as usual NO PDF'S.
In my book 'stuffing the bow' means green water on deck. As long as there is air under the water then it's not really flooded, it's just a lot of spray.

I feel the last captain made a bad decision allowing the lady in the bow. That had an effect on the way he came in increasing the risk for all passengers and the boat.

I was there today for the flibs 22, ended up going to haul over to film and visit for the first time and met your camera man, just came to me that I forgot to ask his name but he was super cool and we filmed together for a while, was awesome meeting the crew behind the scenes. Then went to 79th to catch some action and I sure did😂😂keep up the great work guys❤️
The 5th round boat also won did a good control move slowing the boat as to not take the wake of the fast moving outgoing boat an not stuff the nose of the boat with someone on the bow, then picked throttle back up when he cleared it's wake. You called that one to early 😉.

The rd 2 boat was simply the captain messing with his pax. He almost got flipped and he headed.in!

While I agree with the outcome, I disagree with the reason for the boat 5 loss. Riding all the way up in the bow like that should be an auto loss, the same as kids without PFD's or making the U-turn.

yeah that dude doesn't need to be on a boat. Sees a little water come over and panics then starts waving like theyre in serious danger. Someone like that will cause more trouble during a situation and make it worse. Is it good for the boat, no. But thats a self bailing vessel and after a few min it will drain it all away so not a big deal other than things got a little wet lol. Just enjoy the adventure.
Every boater in that region needs to take a safety boating course and pass a test before they’re allowed near a boat.

Yep, Round 5 gets a loss just for the woman sitting on the bow like that, while going through the inlet. Imagine a bow stuffing with her there. Whew.

If your running with the waves, put your bow up on the wave in front and stay on the back of the wave. These waves are nothing compared to our New Zealand bar crossings.

I keep thinking, why the hell Florida doesn’t have a law for wearing life vest especially for children while the boat is moving, screw the Adults they know they should wear a life vest, you would think they would put there children safety first before they leave land. I have No Respect for any parent that doesn’t put a life vest on there child, same thing with car, making sure your child is in a car seat, booster seat that’s age appropriate and wearing a seatbelt at the right age.

Is this some kind of real competition or is this Just Clips put together where you are judging them. I know I sound stupid but as I said I'm trying to understand what I just watched?
